Moira walked into the general store, her eyes lighting up. She had never been into a store like this, and it made her feel like a kid in a candy shop.

Alanna for the most part was in the same boat as her friend. Blue eyes glittering she let out a breath, "Mon deiu," she whispered as she looked at all the fine fabrics and such. She loved to sew, it was one of her favorite past times. Making something lovely out of nothing but some cloth and thread.
"Well, bebe." she grinned as she headed towards the pre-made coats. "What kind of coat are you looking for?"

Moira shrugged. "Just a warm one." She didn't care what it looked like, actually, as long a it kept her warm--she didn't have a lot of money for a fancy one, anyways.
She started going through the piles, eventually finding a dark green one. She tried it on, and it fit alright...it wouldn't be the warmest, but it would do.
"What you think?"

Lanna touched her friend's arm to get her to spin in a circle so she could inspect how it looked. Her eyes danced, "Oh bebe green is lovely on you."
With a giggle she brushed her friend's hair back and smiled a bit. Moira was one of the prettiest girls Alanna had ever seen. "I like it, it's a good color, and a good fit."

Moira smirked. "Sure it looks good, even with my kerchief?" The bandanna that she wore in her hair was blue, but she wasn't going to fight for colors much. She was happy just to find a coat that fit. "...Thanks lanna." She hugged her friend. "It will do I suppose..." She smiled lopsidedly.

"Oui, " Alanna said with a grin, she chuckled at the hug and returned it instatnly. "I love it, bebe"
Lanna moved about the racks, just content to window shop. "Oh, bebe I wish I could afford some if this cloth. I could make a lovely dress." She smiled brightly as she fingered the soft cotton, her eyes far away before she shrugged, chuckling at her self. Oh, foolish dreams. She'd never be a lady like those girls in New Orleans. She'd always envyed them their pretty things, and yet, they couldn't run bare foot threw the bayou and enjoy a lazy summer day.
She laughed, "Moira, one day I will take you home with me to meet my Maman." Her eyes sparkled, it would be awhile, her father had to be gone first. "She'd love you."

Moira smiled. "You can just save your money, Lanna...you can make a dress easily enough." She bought the jacket, just having the sales person clip the tags off so she could wear it out. It cost her all she had, but she was okay with that.
"..and I would love to meet your mother. I barely rememebr mine."

Lanna wrapped her arm around her friend's waist and nodded, "oh I will, eventually, but there is far to much to see and do in New York, I can always make a dress later." She shook her head, "I'm sorry for that bebe my maman was my dearest friend back home, " she smiled a bit, her eyes glowing. "Well, whatever comes, we've got eachother now. So where next?"

Moira nodded. "I'm not at a loss for it. What comes in life comes..." She slipped her arm around Lanna's shoulder and laughed. "I'm such a giant..."
She smirked. "And I don't know where, really..I'm plump outta money!"

Alanna giggled, "Ah bebe well, we could just wander around, go tease some boys?" her eyes glittered as she spoke, there was no one else she wanted to cause a bit of mischeif with then her taller friend.

Moira smirked. "Well..maybe both...?" She laughed. "Do you know some place we can tease before going to see Ryan?" She wasn't sure she wanted Lanna to meet Ryan--she was nervous around him, and knew Lanna would tease her. Playfully-but still teasing.

Alanna honestly hadnt' any idea where the boys hung out, truthfully she didn't pay all thet much attention. "Well, honestly, bebe I havent' any idea where to find the boys.." she chuckled at herself. ".. They seem to kind of.. show up.. where I am.." she furrowed her brow and wondered if that made any sense at all.
"Know where we can find them?" she asked with a tilt of her head.

Moira snorted. "Aye...that they do...and they run when I'm around." She laughed and made her arms look like a zombie and in a boys voice yelled. "Ooo Its a giant Ginger!! RUN!" She broke down into giggles.
"I'm not going to be able to tell you where those boy are."

Alanna would have pouted, but she laughed instead. "Oh Moira, chere, you are lovely as you are, and I'd say we best just start heading for Manhattan. They may just show up, like they tend to do.." Her grin was fast, she loved her friend to death, but hated when she put herself down.
