Fame was also walking down the paths in Brooklyn, Queens having bored her for the day. She was looking down at a paper she hadn't managed to sell yet, reading over an article. She brought her cigarette down from her lips and exhaled, tapping ou tthe ash. She didn't even see Daisy and nearly stumbled into her from behind. "Watch it," she snared before realizing that it was entirely her fault. "Oh.. sorry..." she said awkwardly.

"Ack!" Daisy yelped as the young woman plowed into her. Reaching down Daisy retrieved the paper that had fallen from the girl's hands and handed it back to her. "It's alright. I wasn't watching where I was going either." Regarding her, Daisy crossed her arms over her chest and smiled slightly, "Having a long day?"

Fame stucked her cigarette in her mouth and rubbed at the side of her face tiredly. ((Is that a word... O.o)) "Yeah... thanks." she said with a slight smile as the girl gave her the paper. Usually she didn't get such a kind response after half mauling someone with her extreme klutzing talents and after giving them lip about it. It was just her lucky day.

(It is...no worries!)
"Then I completely understand," Daisy replied easily. Kicking at a stone on the ground Daisy smiled at the girl again. "Slow selling day?" She asked, indicating the paper.

((Haha sweet. I tend to make up words a lot, so its always nice when they actually turn out to be words.)) "Yeah.... cant sell nothin in Queens, cant sell much more in Brooklyn." she said with a sigh. "Maybe dis jest means I'se gonna need to change me strategy a bit...." she said. "They call me Fame... how about you?" she asked. It was a bit of an odd way to introduce yourself, but Fame took pleasure in being eccentric from time to time.

"Daisy O'Connor, I'm a barmaid at McGinty's," Daisy explained, then reached down to fish around in the small cloth that she carried with her. Retrieving a coin she tossed it in the direction of Fame. It was part of her pay from last night's work and she had intended to splurge on something for herself, but that could wait. "Hand one over then."

Fame smiled at the girl and handed her one of the papers from the ratty bag she had with her. "Thanks, miss." she said, grabbing the coin bag from her pocket and dropping the coin in before returning the pouch to her pocket and buttoning it. "I take it ya life around heah, den? If youse work at de bar?" she asked.

"Daisy," Daisy repeated. "You can call me Daisy." Her smile faded a little as she thought about home, "I live with my mother and father down on King's Highway. My little sister is a Newsie over in Manhattan."

Pepper strode down the paths, trying to sell off the last of her papes. She took a puff of her cigarette before shouting out, "Crazy Man Robs Bank and Gets Away! Read all about it!"
This attracted a fair amount of interested buyers. After selling her last pape, she began to walk away from the crowd, blowing out a cloud of smoke along the way. A man tried to catch up to her saying, "Oi! There ain't anything about that in here!"
Pepper simply responded with, "Maybe you should get your eyes checked, it's right in there..." She cleared her throat and continued to walk off in the direction of two girls, whom she didn't recognize.

Seeing the other girl approaching, Daisy smiled. "Do you know her?" She asked Fame.

Pepper came to a stop, now standing in front of the two girls. She tossed her cigarette to the ground, putting it out with her foot, "You two from Brooklyn?"

"I am," Daisy replied. "I was just explaining that I live over on King's Highway. You?" Though Daisy had been in New York for several months she hadn't had many encounters with people close to her own age. Excited about the prospect of potential friends she smiled wider at the newcomer

Pepper was surprised by the girl's unusually cheerful disposition, "Brooklyn Lodging House.." she responded, arching her eyebrow, "King's Highway, eh? Clearly you ain't a newsie."

Pepper nodded, "Haven't made it around there yet.. I wouldn't take ya for a person ta work heah in Brooklyn," Her first encounter with the Brooklyn newsies would explain why she shouldn't be here, "No offense," she added.
"What's ya name?"
