Giselle returned the officer's smile as he spoke to the man but said nothing until he was done. The man nodded, "Thank yeh officer," he said as he began to walk away. "I'll see you later," he added with a wink to Giselle. She rolled her eyes, "hopefully not..." she muttered under her breath.
One the man was out of her sight she turned back to the officer. "Thank you for that, officer....I was euh.... really getting worried," she admitted, trying unsuccessfully to rid herself of her accent.

Clarence watched and made sure that the man left. "That's my job." He turned back to her. "If he comes around again, just let me know. I can usually be found around here, or Caprice Hall. I hate scum like that, always pouncing on women." He wouldn't have been surprised if that drunk would have tried to rape her.
"The name's Officer Carter." He stuck his hand out to shake with the girls. She sounded French, but he couldn't really tell.

She nodded, although she looked surprised that he said he was often at Caprice Hall. She shook his hand, "Giselle Dubois..." she said, pausing. "If you don't mind my asking, why are you often at Caprice 'All?" she asked. If was, of course, where she worked... she found it odd that she'd never seen him around before.

Clarence smiled once again. "Nice to meet you Miss Dubois. And I live at Caprice Hall, though I normally keep out of the way. I must say you do look familiar though." He stuck both of his hands in his pockets. He thought he had seen her face somewhere, but he couldn't place it.

"Well we have more in common then I thought. I also live at Caprice 'all... I am a dancer there." she said. She didn't know why he lived there, but she thought it might be impolite to ask him.

When she said she was a dancer there it all clicked in place for him. That was where he had seen her! " Yeah, I sort of remember your face. I'm Arianette's husband. Guess that kind of explains what I'm doing there." He chuckled softly.

"Oh!" Giselle exclaimed, smiling brightly. "I'm positive I've seen you around before, then... Its nice to finally meet you, sir." she said. The phrase 'its a small world' hadn't ever really applied to her before, bt she supposed it made sense.

"And you too" He replied. "I think I better get going, don't want to get in trouble." Clarence winked. Aria seemed to be a tad short with everyone these days, especially since she was closing in on the birth day. "But again, if you need some help or anything like that, just come and get me. I'm always willing to help."

Giselle nodded, 'But of course, Arianette will be expecting you home soon, no?" she asked, trying without result to figure out what time it was. "Thank you again, sir." she said, fully aware of what might have happened to her had he not come.

Clarence nodded his head. "Never want to be late for dinner." He gave her another smile before turning in the opposite direction he came from, walking towards the hall. She was a nice girl, he thought. Clarence was always glad to help out. But his grumbling stomach stole his thoughts. He really was quite hungry.
