Smokes looked down at the ground. She didn't want him to go with her. It would just make things worse. "I'll be okay."

He lifted her chin with one of his hands gently. "You sure?" He kissed her softly and shook his head. "I don't even know your real name, Smokes..." He ran a hand through her hair. "And you have to promise to come back to me before I let you go..."

She nodded, pulling a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"I promise." Sealing her promise with a soft kiss, she paused. "Tina."

Peem smiled. "Okay..." He rubbed his thumb against her cheek. "Tina...I like that. Just come home...someone will be home. You'll be safe there."

"Thanks." She smiled and stood from the bridge. "See you later." And with that she was gone.

*New Day* (Sorry if you're not done...)
Irish stood on the bridge and just looked up to the sky. She watched Gin run around, his legs stretching out far as he barked at the birds in the sky. Irish smiled, "Well, I guess we can say you're a bird dog." She said to him. With that he walked over to her and sat down. "And the most random dog ever." She patted his head. "Let's work on some tricks you might know."
She stood back, "Sit." She said, but Gin didn't move. "Come on boy." Gin walked over to her. "Ah, so you know that. Stay put." She said and backed away. To her surprise he didn't move. "Ok, sit." Gin finally sat. "Good boy!" She exclaimed. "How 'bout this... Beg!" She watched as Gin didn't do anything considered normal for a dog to do when commanded to beg, but he spun in a circle.
Irish smiled and laughed, "Wait, do that again." She said. And he spun in a circle once more. "Beg." She said, for the last time. Gin, again, spun in a circle, barking with his head held high. "You're such a silly mutt." This was probably the first time in a long time she laughed out of pure amusement... and not out of joy in someone getting hurt.

Criol, or Alanna, she didn't care what she was called, watched the girl and dog with an amused grin. She'd always been fond of dogs, though, the generally got eaten back home. Her smile was genuine as she walked up behind the girl.
"You're doin' a fine job," she said, her smooth southern drawl soft, with a hint of frnech on her tongue. ".. he might be more, inclined to do what you want if you give him something..."

Irish looked to the girl, a little thrown off by the new company. "Oh... Hi." She said. Gin walked over to her. If there was one thing good about this dog, it was that he always knew when to stand beside Irish. "What?" She asked, then put what the girl said together in her mind. "Wait... what?!" She exclaimed, looking down at Gin, her voice showing much surprise. "This dog shows up one day, steals my food, wont quit following me, and I gotta give him something for doing good." She was actually surprised, no real sarcasm in her voice... although, her voice always sounded a bit sarcastic.
"I let him follow me, and give him half of whatever food I get... you'd think that'd be enough for this mongrel." She said. Gin stood beside her, wagging his tail at the word 'mongrel'. Irish looked down to Gin, to see his tail wagging, "Right Gin?" She asked, speaking as if the dog could actually understand her. Gin just wagged his tail harder and barked at the sound of his name.

Alanna giggled and crouched down to scratch Gin behind the ear. "Well if ya want him ta do tricks, you should give him someting as a reward. He rewards you with his charming company, chere. He should get something.." Her eyes sparkled as she spoke, her gaze turned up to Irish.

Irish looked down to Gin, "Do I have to..." She said, talking more to Gin than this new girl. With Gin still wagging his tail, Irish gave in. "Ok, boy, I got an extra dollar... Ice cream or a Pretzel." Gin spun in a circle, he knew those words... those meant food. "One bark for Ice cream, an two for a pretzel." She said. Gin started barking up a storm. Irish sighed, "I'll get you Ice Cream, only if you beg." At the word Beg, Gin ran in a circle. Irish smiled, "Let's go."
She looked to the other girl, "You're welcome to come along... although, I'm not buyin' you Ice Cream, if you want one, you gotta get yourself one." She said. She started walking towards Orchard Beach to get this mutt some Ice Cream. "Da name's Irish, by the way." She said, still walking off. She walked a little quickly, giving the girl almost no chance to respond.
((If you wanna come along, I'll make the post at the beach))

Alanna chuckled as she rose slowly, her eyes glowing. "Alanna, but I've been called Criol.." It was Creole but the way she said it made it sound funny. She chuckled as she nodded. "Lead on then, Ice Cream sounds like a good idea. Sounds Like you're pup agrees."

<<New Day>>
Rose walked onto the bridge at a slow pace. She rested her arms on the railing, looking out onto the water. She stood there, simply watching and listening to the sounds around her.
She had no reason to feel this way, yet still she felt so empty... She let out a sigh and continued to stare blankly.

<<new day>>
Sally was sittin on the bridge, looking out over the water. There hadn't been many newsies worth soakin' as of late..it depressed her weee dark little heart. Definitely not much fun. Her brothers weren't having as much luck either. The Raconteurs seemed to be having all the fun.
"Bugger.."

Rose sauntered onto the bridge, her eyes fixed upon the water. She liked to come here to think and just get away for a while.
She leaned up against the rail, her arms hanging over the side with her hands clenched together. She took a deep breath, "Oi."

Sally looked over at the scrubby girl and smiled broadly. Oooo...meat. Slipping over to the girl she leaned next to her, looking at the water. "...you a newsie?" It sounded so innocent...so harmless.
