Murder shrugged and dug into her pocket, holding a pretty good amount of coins. Ace was the one kid she didn't mind being around. She and him had an innate understanding of eachother some how, so he tended to interperate for her when needed, and he kept his kids from giving her too much grief. She put the money back in her pocket and gestured to him, as if asking what he had been up to, for he didn't look like he had been selling papers. His fingers were clean.

His eyes widened and he smiled. "You're doin good foah yourself, im glad." He had offered to help her out when need be -god knows most of the money he made on a daily basis never went to himself- but he didn't want to support his kids; he was trying to teach them all independence- that way they couldn't be bought for pocket change, if such a thing ever happened.
"Me? Leadah stuff...checkin da borders, fixin up the house..." He had also been out looking for his brother again, but this time, he had made sure Sneaks knew it. He didn't need a repeat of what had just happened. He wasn't going to betray his brother anymore. The one time was enough to knock some sense into his head.

Murder nodded. Ace had always offered to help her, but she had always been too proud to take it. She made the decision to run away, so she would have to be the one to support herself. Allowed her to maintain her dignity. Rummaging in her pocket, she pulled out her cards and held up the one which said "Spot", a quizzical look on her face. She knew that the war issued hadn't been fully resolved, with Brooklyn making a martyr of itself, shutting it down from the others.

He sighed, shrugging his shoulders. "Im still here, aren't I? He's mad though, extremely mad, and with Red sick...." He looked over at her, head cocked to the side. "Did i mention that to you already? Red's pneumonia finally caught up with him...its all a mess right now."

Murder nodded, shrugging, a slight frown on her face. She made a gesture as if to say Once Spot gets some sense, things will be fine...at least you got smart. She poked him in the chest gently. She had never approved of the war. Reminded her too much of the old times back with her father and the wars he loved to start.

"I know you didn't like it." He sighed, looking up at the sky. "We were all stupid, every last one of us. We were being manipulated, used...and you know i hate being used." It was funny, but it was easy to talk to Murder, it actually felt like she was listening. "I just couldn't put you all in danger anymore; too much was at stake."

Murder nodded solemly, but then a small smirk sliding across her face, something that was rare. She reached up and put her hands around his neck, but then patted him on the head gently, ruffling his hair, as if to say Yeah..and I was near ready to kill you...but its okay. You did the right thing. Poor kid needed to lighten up--and coming from Murder, that was saying something.

Ace blinked down at her for a moment before laughing, nodding his head. "All right, all right, I get it. Im being depressing, right? Well...how about i take you out to eat, how's that sound?" He smirked, poking her gently on the nose. "Make up for me being such an idiot."

Murder let out a soft laugh and smiled a tiny bit. Ace was the only one who could make her do that--and even then it was rare for him. Scrunching up her nose as he poked her she nodded, and then shoved Ace back down, another laugh escaping her lips, before walking down the steps a bit, putting her cards back in her pockets.

She turned around and looked at him, an eyebrow raised. She put her hands up and shook them. Ooo..I'm so scared. She snorted and pushed him again, not enough to knock him down and then shook her head as if to say, Shoving is not getting your butt kicked. She reached up and ruffled his black hair again showing that she wasn't trying to be patronizing and jumped down the rest of the steps, gesturing at him to lead the way.

"Fine then, pushing me around. That bettah?" He grinned and shook his head, following her down, hands in his pockets. "What do you want to eat?" He asked, looking at her from the corner of his eye.

She shrugged. She didn't care either way. She had no qualms about prices, for she knew Ace had enough money, and she was used to fancier places. They didn't hold any awe to her--watching her father trash the places when they would go eat with his crew knocked the awe out of her quick. She pointed at him Your paying, your choice.

He looked at her, head cocked to the side. "Hmmm..." He didn't really feel up to anything fancy, what with Leone around. But he didn't feel like traipsing over to Hattan either.... "How about Lombardis? Feel up ta Pizza?" He wasn't going to choose just because he was paying. He was taking her out. Not the other way around.

She nodded smartly. It would probably be best she stayed out of any fancy place or 'hattan now, anyways. She doubted her father or any of his men would recognize her, or really even care, but she didn't want to risk it. She had earned her freedom, and she wasn't about to give it up now.
