Ace gestured grandly, "Lombardi's it is then." He grinned then, as they walked along. "You were making new cards, when i came up...What were they?"

Murder rolled her eyes at his grandious gesture. Oh Ace, always the showman. Hearing him ask, she pulled the new ones out showing him. Besides her ones that held the names of the leaders and the burroughs, she had added a "how much" which would make it easier for her to buy various items from dim tradesmen, and a "____ off". She smirked a bit at the last one. She had always been a bit snarky...and most newsies were not like Ace.

Ace laughed at the last card, nodding his head, "I like that one....but you should add another one." He winked, "Ace Cardoni will soak you if you so much as touch me." He shook his head with a grin. It was true, though...Having to deal with the teasing delt at Murder was just that- murder. It was hard work, and he wanted to kick a few around because of it.

Murder shrugged. She was glad Ace stuck up for her, but she tried for the most part to deal with it on her own. She was tougher than she seemed, but her thin frame didn't allow her to really soak kids. However, she didn't want Ace to get on his kids bad sides simply because of her inability or stubbornness not to speak. She wasn't sure which one it was anymore.
She did manage a smile and nudged him, as if to say she would make that card, then made a mock gasp as if to say, what would slinks think! Scandal!
Then her dark green eyes brightened a bit and she held up a finger and rummaged for a pen, scribbling another card down that she thought of. "No, I'm not Deaf, a**hole." That was a common misconception and tended to get the people around in her in more trouble. It did have its advantages though--she made an excellent spy.

He peered over her shoulder to see what she had written and busted out laughing. "THERE we go!" He gave her a smirk, putting his hand on her hat and moving it around until it slid to the side of her head. It wasn't that far to Lombardi's, and it was in view already. He bit his lip, then. He wanted her to talk, yes, but he wouldn't push the issue. She would talk on her own, he supposed.

Murder sighed and took her had off, shoving it in her pocket, her wavy blond hair falling about her shoulders, shining in the sunlight. She made an exasperated sound. Fine. Happy now?
Her stomach must have known they were nearing, for it growled. She hadn't eaten all day, but simply because she hadn't had time. Pizza sounded amazing. And she had good company, too.

He immediately ruffled her hair. "Yay. Im happy now." He grinned, hands in his pockets as they finally reached Lombardi's. He pulled the door open for her, and gestured inside.

Slinks leaned against the railing on the porch, blowing a stray lock of hair out of her eyes with a heavy sigh. Heat. She disliked heat. And it was hot, which made the air heavy and muggy. Brilliant.
"C'mon, boyo...where are ye.." She muttered sluggishly.

All at once carriages, police men, horses and loads of people come down the street. Quite the ruckus if I might add. They all seemed in a huge hurry as well. Coming up to the lodging house Snyder steps out of the front carraige. "Alright, a few of you go 'round the back, block the back exit. We don't want this boy escaping." Some police men nodded and turned to block the back exit. "Others take the fire escape, and surround the building completely." Others nodded again and dashed off to go to their appointed positions. Snyder was out for blood.

Having ducked down the second she saw the carriage and uniforms come into view, Slinks heard what he said. Which meant she knew why he was there: Ace.
Quiet as she could - not that it was needed, with the noise all the uniforms were making - she slunk to the door, opened it, getting across the common room and up the stairs almost before the door closed. And then the hall way was an easy thing.

At night it was pitch black, not a thing could be seen, but that morning there was a note attatched to the door on the outside of the door. A message to all newsies in the Bronx. An employment opportunity that read:
Attention Newsies! Are you tired of not having enough money to feed yourselves? Work not giving you enough variety in your routine? Always having to sew up the holes in your socks and shirts instead of buying new ones? Come to our headquarts in Morris Park and see how you can finally put that behind you. Talk to Nick Young for more details.

Scarlett looked over to a stoop and saw two guys chatting. She thought she would strike up a conversation and see what happened. "Hey what are you cats doin?" I'm looking for a place to stay, people haven't been the best to me", "guess I haven't been the best to them either.." she shrugged. "So what are your names?"

Denim glanced up at the building as they stepped up to the porch. She bit her lip wondering what it was going to be like here. The only other place she had stayed was and orphanage, but maybe this would be like that. Sprite had told her many people lived here. Denim glanced over at Sprite. She looked cool and collected like she knew exactly what she was doing. Denim wished she could be like that, instead she was nervous as can be. She twisted her fingers together wondering how many people actually lived there.

Cheater stepped outside, and stopped, staring at the man that stood on the porch.
"Can I help you?" She asked in a voice that would have made the nuns (and several of the workers at Lombardi's) proud.
