Maggie smirked. "Well what's the point of you going out West? I'm already here." She winked and laughed good naturedly. She hadn't had a good time with someone her age in a real long time.

Brigmal smiled and nodded, "Aye, you're right." He said, kinda loud. "Now I guess I gotta stay here..." He added, acting kinda sad. "Well, it doesn't matter, I don't think I could ever leave New York." He told her, honestly. "It's to... unique here... you never know what to expect, and you're always ready for anything... at least, you have to be ready for anything." He said.

Maggie nodded. "I'm findin' that out quickly, ya know?" She smirked, eating some more of her sandwich. "....and I'm always ready for anything." She added, "...and I'm sure you can tell, by how you first met me..." Referring to her Church 'incident'.

"Yes, you would have to be pretty ready to get away from those guys; it seems." He agreed. He took anothing dite of food, and sip of soup. "But, at least you ran to the right guy for a cover." He said, acting very proud.

Maggie chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "Did I?" She smiled softly. "...I haven't returned the favour yet..." She blushed and turned back to her food. "Shucks..making a gal blush.."

Brigmal smiled, "I would say you did." He looked at her and laughed a little. "Well, I mean to make you blush... just stating a fact." He started to explain, "A random girl changing just a plain, boring... kinda depressing day was what I think I needed. I haven't been this happy and calm in a while." He said honestly, and it was easy to tell he was honest by the look in his eyes.

Maggie looked up and beamed, the light coming into her face to show her to be a happy bright girl who had gotten a real compliment. Her face soon slid to her more typical smirk and front, but there was some of that other girl still there now. She wasn't hiding as much.
"Calm? Now that's not something I'm known for...but if it makes you happy, then it can't be that bad now, can it?" She took another sip of her soup. "...I'm glad, Brigmal. Really."

Brigmal smiled as he looked at her, her face shining. "Calm as in, not constantly worrying or being nervous." He explained. "With you, I don't have to worry about what I say or what I'm gonna do... it all just seems ok." He told her. "Everything just seems to fit." He finished quietly, turning towards his food, a little embarassed about saying it... yet he felt wonderful saying it.

Maggie smiled and finished her soup in silence before speaking. "Now...that just seems ta me to be the beginnin' of something now, doesn't it?" She looked at him softly. "Glad I make ya feel like that--everyone should--you in particular, tho." She bit her lip. "But you are right-things just fit." She laughed, feeling more at ease with someone other than her family in years. "So do you live...where?"

Brigmal lifted his head at the thought of 'something new'. It sounded like a good idea. He just sat there and listened to her, then smiled. "Yes, I live... and where, at the Queens lodging house." He said. "Well... I, honestly, would hope I live, because I don't know what else I'd be doing here?" he laughed.

Maggie kicked him gently under the table. "So I got a wise-ass on my hands, eh?" She laughed. "What am I going to do with you!" She sipped on her drink. "...well, if you ever need a place to stay away from all the hubub of a lodging house--I have a good feelin' couch in my small shack."

Brigmal tried to dodge the kick, but didn't think about her kicking him until there was already contact. "Hey, you." He gave out a nice deep laugh. He stopped laughing, but held the large smile as he listened to her. His smile became less about humor and more of a thank you. "That sounds nice... I'm sure a bed of rocks would beat the bunks they have at the lodging house... so I'm sure a couch would feel like sleeping on a cloud." He told her.

Maggie smiled gently. "Glad you'd think that--its actually a pretty nice comfy couch--I fall asleep after work sometimes there, ya know? Never end up makin' it to my bed." It was true--most of the time she was so exhausted from work that she did fall asleep waiting for dinner.

Brigmal shook his head, "That's too bad... one should never be that tired after work." He sighed. "Ah, but that's a dreamers wish... work is never easy, unless your loaded." He spoke the truth, at least the truth he knew. "Well, it sounds like a nice couch... I should meet it some time." He laughed again as he took another bite of food.

Maggie nodded. "Yeah its...I ain't gonna lie and say its easy--but its money for food on the table." She streched a bit and laughed lightly. "Well I'm sure you will...I think me mum and granddad will like you..."
