When they reached the door, he opened it, then stopped. And in a whisper replied, "Everyone's allowed to be helpless," before walking Red onto the sidewalk.

Ariannette was leaning on the taxi, glaring at the driver who was giving her an eye. She did manage a small smile when Clare came out with Red. She motioned for the driver to open the door.
"You first REd."

Red looked up at him, a little more respect for the cop showing in his tired emerald eyes. "Thanks, Carter." He whispered, sliding into the cab carefully.

Red and Aria occupied the backseat, which left Clarence to sit up front with the cab driver. "Caprice Hall, please."

<<New Day>>
Emmanuellle smiled to herself as she walked into the lodging house and fell on one of the sofas. It seemed to her that Coop had changed a lot, but if he was anything like he used to be then that wouldn't last long.
Coop was kind of a hard person to read. One moment he'd be caught up in his feelings. He could make almost anyone feel for him, even without ever trying to. Then the next, he'd be his old cool, rough self, not caring about what happened from one day to the next. It was all one big game for him and in his eyes he'd never lose. Her smile faded a little, thinking about it. Atleast no one knew he was back, no one who really knew him, that is.
She thought about Murder, how she always seemed to be so tense and closed. She seemed like a pretty good person, but so did Coop. He could play a lot of people without them ever finding out. Maybe this Murder was the same way.

Prince came down the stairs from her room a look of concentration on her face. Earlier that day she'd seen the wonder note on her door, and she wans't happy about it.
She was about to go and investigate when she stopped seeing Emmanuelle sitting on a sofa. She didn't know this girl, must be new. Prince's hair up in her hat, and currently appearing to be a boy she looked at the new girl. She cleared her throat and waved slightly. Lowering the tone of her voice to sound like a boy as well she said, "Hey, you new 'round heah?"

Emmanuelle lifted her head from the couch, looking at who she thought was a boy.
"Yeah," she said. "New to this place anyway."

Emmanuelle also smiled lending her hand to Prince.
"I haven't been around the lodging house and I don't really sell too much."

"Prince," she said, "leadah of da Queens newsies," she said. "Da only female leadah in all of New York," she said matter-of-factly as she took off her hat with a smile. "But... anyone who ain't a newsie don't know dat. So... don't tell no one?" she half asked, half said.

Emmanuelle smiled, a little surprised. It wasn't the first time she had seen a girl act as a boy, so it wasn't that much of a shock. She nodded. "Sure thing."

"Thanks," Prince said with a smile. This girl wasn't so bad, not the most talketive, but some weren't. Didn't bother her, she'd make conversation instead. "You see the note on the door?" she asked meaning the one the Raconteurs left.

Emmanuelle thought for a minute. She did see something on the door, but hadn't bothered to read it after Coop left.
"Yeah, but I didn't read it."
