"Its good, great really. I'se is a big fan... its real different from New York though... not in a bad way, but its different..." she said, shrugging. "Youse from Ireland too?" Fame asked, this particularly of interest to her. "Where'd ya live?" She asked.

"I miss Ireland," Mini said wistfully thinking about her home land. It had been gorgeous, but she had never been one to dally with wishful thinking. She took what came and went along with it. "I used ta live in Youghal."

Fame nodded. She, too, missed Ireland, although she had no idea where Youghal was. "I'se from a little town a little ways outside of Dublin... had next teh no one in it, only ten or so people. Excluding me family." She said, shrugging.

Mini laughed at that, "Yeah we once traveled through a town like dat. I enjoy dat lil' journey we had. The town had been peaceful, unlike da big city we lived so close to, not say dat our town was that busy, but people always comin' through ta get to the town we lived close ta." She was loosening up a bit, but she wouldn't let her guard down, people just couldn't be trusted that easily.

Fame couldnt help but laugh. "Peaceful, sure. Not to mention boring, but I guess peaceful is a good word for it..." She said, shrugging as she picked up her sandwich and took a small bite.

She continued to sip her water at intervals, but didn't actually touch her meal after she had started talking. "Boring? Maybe if ya lived dere all da time, but foh a visit," she sighed under her breath, "Some times des big cities can get a lil' loud." She didn't mention all of da poverty and the trash, because she was sure she was part of that now that she was a newsie. "It would be nice ta know everyone dat ya saw sometimes." She was talking nonsense and having wishful thinking, which she saw as weaknesses, but she couldn't help herself. As soon as she realized all of what she said she felt like kicking herself in the ass.

"I guess. But it takes all dat... dat uh... spontanuity outta life. Sure, its fine to know everyone, but what about all those people you dont know? The ones who you could be livin right next door to and you never learn dere name? De city... even though its got its problems... is a better place sometimes. Sure, its loud, but sometimes loud is what ya need teh keep from gettin lonely in a big place." She said, shrugging. She wasnt even sure if she was making sense now, but she didn't really care either.

"Just cause ya surrounded by people doesn't mean ya ain't lonely," she pointed out logically, she'd felt lonely at times in the city, "It just means ya lonely surrounded by people dat you don't know and probably won't see in a week."

Fame nodded, Mini did have a point there. "Yeah, I know what your sayin'... but it helps. Livin alone in de country, if yer family's gone to town for the night or gone out for de weekend and youse is alone, aint got nobody near ya for four or five miles, its a helluva lot more lonely then bein surrounded by people. All youse really gotta do is get teh talk to somebody, I guess." She glanced out into the restaraunt, which was slowly filling further.

"Maybe," Mini said with a slight shrug. She liked the city better, but she still liked it when she had went to that small town once, it had been peaceful. "But everythin' has there advantages and disadvantages," she said with a smile.

"Yeah, dats for sure." She said as she finished off her food and took a sip of the tea she had gotten. "So youse is a Queens newsie too..." She said, leaning back in her chair. "What do youse think a de other people in our burough?" She asked.

"Personally I think dey need ta get more backbone," she said cynically. She'd thought that since the first day she'd come and then she remembered her meeting with Spot and sighed. She wished Queens was more like that.

Fame grinned, they were on the same plane of thought here. "Ise gotta agree... Ise cant stand it dat Queens is so.. spineless. And everyone knows it, too." she said with a slight scowl. She wasnt scowling at Mini, but rather at the thought of Queens' reputation.
