Mini slided into the back booth making her self comfortable and ordered a water and several other things from the menu. She leaned back resting and looked out the window across the room watching absently as people past by, the occasional person entering the restaurant.

Fame looked around the restauraunt, then took a seat in the booth that was back to back with the back booth. ((wow, lots of backs.)) She read the menu, then turned and saw Mini. "Youse know of anythin good heah?" She asked.

Looking over at Fame she sighed, she hadn't decided whether or not she liked the girl or not. "Everything is good foh da most part," she said trying to be congenial, though she didn't think she was doing such a great job at it. "Whatcha doin' here?" Mini asked and then rolled her eyes at her stupid question, "Stupid question I know."

Fame gave Mini a look, implying that she thought the girl might be a little thick.
"I's is heah to eat..." She said, "Why else would I be in a diner?" She asked, not really knowing why the girl would ask why she was in a diner. Her initial question had been innocent enough... she just wanted some recommendations as to what food was worth her money.

She looked the girl over on last time before making up her mind, "Are ya meetin' someone here? 'Cause if ya ain't ya could sit with me if ya wanted ta." She looked at the girl a little lost because she didn't usually invite people to sit with her and she still wasn't sure if she had done the right thing. It was easier to keep people far away than to bring them close as she had learned over the years.

"Naw, I's aint heah with anyone." She said, standing up and joining Mini in her booth. She opened her menu again,looking at it for a moment before looking back up at Mini. "Youse a Queens newsie?" She asked. She thought she had seen the girl around, but wasn't positive.

"Yeah I'm a Queens newsies," she said taking a sip from her water that she had sitting on the table. "And I suppose you are too?" Mini looked up at the waiters wondering where her food was that she had ordered. Service could be slow sometimes. Sighing with irritation (she never had been a very patient person) she drummed her fingers on the table.

"Course I am." She said with a grin. She had not yet and still didnt know exactly what she was going to order. She looked at the menu some more, not able to make up her mind.
"So what are youse doin heah, down in Hattan?" She asked, glancing up briefly.

"Ise from Chicago... came here a little bit ago, maybe a few weeks." She said with a shrug after she ordered her food. "How long have ya lived in New York for?" She asked.

((What I meant is this is queens, but *shrug* ah well the story must go on...lol))
"Foh about a year and half," she stated. "But I've learned the lay out of the city as soon as I came here," she grinned wickedly, "And I know most of what goes on around here too." She'd always had a knack for sneaking around unnoticed, which she was grateful for. Got her out of a lot of trouble.

"Where were ya before?" She asked, hoping the girl didnt mind her asking too many questions. She thanked the waiter as he brought the food, which she began to eat immediatly.

She shrugged, "Ireland. Longest ride I've eveh been on. It was terrible on the boat." She was complaining, which she usually didn't, but she didn't like boat rides. She always got sick. "Chicago, huh? Hows it up dere?" She'd always been good at geography and memorized maps.
