A long center aisle, rows and rows of pews, and beautiful stained glass windows show the wonder of this religious structure. This is the place to hold any major religious event such as a babtism, funeral, or wedding.

Brigmal walked into the church, slowly removing his hat as he did so. There was no mass going on; nothing. It was a quiet building with only a few souls sitting in some of the many benches. Brigmal walked to the back left bench and sat down. He lowered his head, folded his hands, and began to pray. His lips moved, but the words could barely be heard. His prayers were for his family and friends, but also for himself; askink for God's protection.

Arianette was looking around the church, making mental notes to herself about the wedding. Her hands were over her large belly as she stepped into the Sanctuary. Seeing that it was occupied by someone in prayer, she sat down in one of the pews, taking it all in quietly.

Brigmal looked over to the gril who had just walked in. He gave a small smile, and a nod; a quiet gesture of Hello. He felt it would be nice to give a warm hello in such a place; just seemed to fit. He had finished his prayers, but didn't want to leave; not yet. He stood up, and walked over to the candles. Dropping a few coins into a box, he kneeled down and gave one last prayer, then lit the candle. He quietly walked to one of the back seats, and sat down; eyes looking around the place.

Brigmal sat near her, so she turned around and smiled at him. "Glad to see there are friendly people left in the world." Her voice was quiet and smooth. She felt the need to be reverant and not speak loudly. "Praying for lost ones?"

Brigmal smiled as she complimented him, "Just trying to do my part." He said. At her questions, his smile slowly faded away. He nodded, "In more ways than one." He looked back up to her as he spoke. "My brother and sister." He told her, then continued, "My father took my brother away, and never came back; I don't know if he's still alive, or if he's suffering under my father's command." He used command to describe his father's ways, other than care, because his father never cared. "And I know my sister is dead... I was there." He said, looking back at the burning candle.
Trying to change the subject, he looked back to her, "And you?" He asked a little nonchalantly. She didn't seem to have prayed, since she didn't kneel or... well, look like she was praying. He was hope he was right, because he would be heart-broken to know that she was praying for a lost one, and he asked as if it were nothing.

Arianette listened, shaking her head gently. "...you are too young to have to be gone through all that.." She sighed. There were many children in this town who were too old for being so young.
She smiled when he asked about herself. "Oh I'm looking the church over for my wedding." She smiled and patted her now 6 month pregnant stomach. "Id pray but kneeling is a bit hard for me now." She laughed softly. "I'm Arianette." She offered him a gloved hand.

Brigmal didn't responde to her comment. He wasn't sure what to say. After a few seconds, a smile crept on his face when she told him why she was here. "Ah, that's wonderful news." He said, looking at her stomach, then face. "I'm Brigmal." He added. "Well, then I'll just have to add you to my prayers." He said, feeling nothing should go without being prayed for. Everything and everyone needs help from God; whether they know it or not.

Aria smiled softly. "Well thank you, Brigmal." She nodded. "...you a newsie?" He looked a bit familiar...perhaps he had been to her party.

Brig nodded, "Aye." He rolled his eyes, "And quite a bad one at that." He smiled. "I haven't sold papes in a while; I've been just living off the money I had when I left my mom." He was glad this was brought up, because he had forgotten that he was running kinda low on money. She seemed to ba a little confused, and he wasn't sure why, "Um, I don't know if we've met, I'm a friend of Flanna's, and I went to some... uh... costume party." He said, a little quietly. It hadn't turned out well, and he had left early.

Aria smiled. "Aye..I was the one that threw that costume party, you see." She nodded. "...you know, if money is bad for newsies...there are always textile mills...the docks.." She nodded. "..you'd be stuck inside, but ya make better money.."

Brigmal shook his head, "No, I don't think I could do that work anymore." He couldn't go back to those days. "I used to work there, to make money for my family. Now that I'm on my own, I'd much rather be scrounging for money, than working in one of those places." He smiled, giving a slight head shake, as he thought about going back to those days. "I just have to really start selling papes, instead of... well... not selling them." He laughed a bit. "Anyways, nice party; sorry I didn't stay long." He added.

((hope I'm not interrupting anything!))
Maggie came running into the church. Those guys she had ripped off were close behind. Seeing a man and a woman talking a couple pews in front of her, she grinned. Perfect. Grabbing a bandana from her pocket, she quickly did up her hair and slid down next to Brigmal, winking at him as she flung his arm over her shoulder, hunkering down a bit.
Three pretty big lumbering guys came in soon after, looked around, and seemingly not finding what they were looking for, left.
After they were gone, Maggie pushed Brigmal's arm off of her and smiled brightly. "Sorry bout that...I don't usually get so fresh with strangers...but ya know..rather be fresh than end up a bit roughed up." She added, "Hope I wasn't intrudin' or nuttin."

<<no worries!>>
Aria smiled. "Well I guess you have a good outlook Brigmal...and I'm glad you got to enjoy the party." She was about to say more when a girl came bounding into the seat next to Brigmal.
She was silent as the whole scene played out, only speaking after the men left.
"...my...that was a bit unexpected." She studied the girl, but figured Brigmal should have the first say on if she was welcome to stay or not.

Brigmal looked at the girl, a little confused. When he saw the guys, and heard her explination, he actually understood. Looking at the girl he gave a half smile and shook his head a bit, "You know, I spent a lot of time with girls I liked; talked to them, gave them stuff. Now, it turns out, all I have to do is sit in a chruch and wait for girls to come to me." He gave a quiet chuckle and looked at Aria, "Why do women have to be so strange." With another, a little louder, chuckle, he looked back to the new girl. "Well, I'm Brigmal, because I think we should know eachother's names before getting too involved." it was obvious to see he was joking, but he wasn't the kind of guy to let something like this go without a laugh or two. "This is my friend, Ariannette." The word friend was a little soft, because he wasn't quite sure how much of 'friends' they actually were.
