Gamble shrugged slightly. "You'se sparked my interest." She said. That was her way of telling him she'd help out.

Scrap slipped into the door and moved quietly over by the wall, seeing that he was obviously walking in on something. Putting his small bag on the ground he stood silently.

Spot whirled around to the new addition in the room, "And who might you be?"

Gamble rolled her eyes at the look her sent her. She couldn't help but have an attitude about things. She didn't know why. Half the stuff she doesn't really plan on saying. It just comes out.
She raised an eyebrow at the new person, waiting for him to introduce himself.

She nodded at Spot, staring at the boards under her feet. She'd fight, no questions asked.
"Well, kid, ye came 't an off time." She informed Scrap, still looking at the floor boards.

SlingShot stood. "You guys. We have to be in this together. No matter what happens, we all have to be in this together and stay in it together." She turned to the new kid. "You want work here, you should probably promise to pledge yourself to Brooklyn. Otherwise, you might wanna leave." She turned to Spot. "I promise I'm with you all the way on this one. And if Brooklyn falls, then so do I".

Red, who had been quiet for the most part, moved toward Spot, leaning down to whisper something in his ear. He reached out and laid a hand on the other's cane, moving is so that it was horizontal in the air, stretched out. "This is the flag, the flag of Brooklyn." He looked around at all of them, "If it falls, you fall. If the one holding it falls, you fall. Think long and hard before this, all of you, cause i gurantee you one thing- Brooklyn is going to fight to the very end. There is no retreating." ((ok...that sounded better in my head. oh wells )

Flare leaned back in her seat in a slight daze. When she left the Kitchen she thought she left this kids playing grownups thing, but nope, they went and got themselves in a burough war with Queens and 'Hatten. The last thing Flare planned on doing was sharing the fact that her brother was most likely in Queens at this very moment.
"Uh Spot, that's all well an' good an' we're all loyal heah, but youse tellin' us that wes might not be able to sell cuz o' dis. Ise don't got enough money to go too long witout sellin'.
An' it's great dat Ace is wit us on dis, but youse realize dere ain't no way o' gettin' to da Bronx witout goin' t'rou 'Hatten. Ise dun mean to be the downeh heah, but how da Hell are wes spossed to win dis."

Gamble nodded. Flare had a point. Last thing she wanted was to get soaked by a bunch of newsies from Manhattan. But, she needed money.
"Flare's got a point, Spot. I ain't backin' down or nutten but I need money. And if I can't sell, what am I supposed to do to get it?" Gamble stated and crossed her arms. She knew how she phrased it sounded... selfish. But, everyone else had a mouth so if they felt the same way they could say it themselves.

Scrap stepped back into the shadows as he listened intently to the conversation. His eyes darted from one speaker to the next, taking it all in.
He had no idea what was going on.

SlingShot listened intently. In her opinion, their loyalty was to Brooklyn and Spot before anything else. She could not believe that these people were thinking of only themselves. She decided to once again step up and speak. She stood. "You guys! How can you be so damn selfish? This isn't about only one person. This is about Brooklyn. And if you're not with Brooklyn, then you're against Brooklyn, and if that's the case, I suggest you leave before I get violent." She sat down again hoping her little speech had made an impact.

The warm air hit Fancy's skin and she shivered with delight. She listened carefully to what SlingShot was saying and couldn't help but silently agree. She felt so stupid being there so late and dressed down in her sleep-wear. She clasped her hands in front of her and stared determindly ahead. But the second she turned that corner, the determination that was once there, turned into insicurity. She chanced a glance over at Red, who had not seemed to notice her presence and made her way over to him silently.....

Gamble glared at her. "Didn't I just say I wasn't backin' out?! I just wanna know I'se gettin' money so I don't starve to death! This is somethin' we'se need to work out before we jump into it. I'se lookin' for details!" She yelled at Slingshot.
