Lucky leaned back and got unchracteristically quiet. And that wasn't a good thing, her eyes were hard. She'd been alone a long time, why the hell was she worried about these people now. Sure, she liked them all. She liked Conlon, thought he was funny as hell. Trigger and Smalls were her friends. And yet she couldn't shake the feeling.
She swore roundly and started rattling off in gutter Italian as she got to her feet. Running her hand threw her hair she looked at Trigger and Smalls. "I'm goin for a walk.." she couldn't sit still, nervous engery and angry energy all bottled up into one small girl was not good. "Go tell Prince what happend, don't worry, I wont go after the twit."

Smalls sighed as Lucky left, running a hand down her face. "Alright," she let the cigarette hang from her lips and she pulled her coat tight, turning to Trigger. "Let's go."

Trigger almost stopped Lucky, he didn't want her out there alone then Smalls said they were leaving. He sighed and grabbed his jacket. "Alright."

<<new night>>
Sneaks stood downstairs in the Brooklyn lodging house, hoping Lucky would show soon.
For his part, he looked very much like a river boat gambler. Wearing a very fitted black suit, it was accented with red die cufflinkes, black and red wingtipped shoes, and a red bolaro. He looked quite dashing, if he did say so himself.

Lucky was almost half growling, punching a couple boys on the way home made her a bit mad but, she was covered up with her coat enough not to be annoyed to badly.
Her hair was done up in top fashion, she liked it for the most part. She'd been washed, primped and strapped in. Honestly she walked like she was born for that dress, and the shoes she wore. Strange enough, she looked like a real lady, going to a party. Not just a street kid, dressing up for Halloween. She looked almost regal.
Guess what they say is true, the difference between a flower girl and a lady is not in how the speak or act, but how they are treated.

Sneaks couldnt contain the grin that spread across his face as Lucky walked in the door.
"Well well..Miranda. I doubt I've ever seen someone as drop dead georgeous as yourself." He slipped over to her, rubbing a thumb across her cheek. "Honestly."

Lucky blinked up at him and couldn't help but grin. "You think?" she laughed. "Good, cause I don't think I've ever felt as pretty as I do right now."
It was corny and she was standing in her lodging house, the possibility of Smalls coming down and seeing her was pretty high, but she didn't care. She looked and felt like a real lady, for once in her life she didn't mind being a girl.

Sneaks laughed. "Well I'm glad." He walked up and put his arm around her waist. "You haven't said a thing about mine..." He winked.
"Come on...I have a surprise for you before we go to the party."

She laughed and kissed him, "I think you look sexy." She winked at him, she tilted her head in that appreciative female fashion and laughed a bit. Yep, he was sexy, and he was hers.
Her eyebrow quirked, "Surprise?"

Sneaks smiled and kissed her forehead. "Thank you, m'love. Glad you approve."
He started to lead her out of the building. "Indeed, a surprise...you'll see..." And with that, he lead her out.

((New Day))
Cards kicked the door of the lodging house open and strode inside. She looked around, her pale blue eyes narrowed with distaste. She strode over to one of the brokendown chairs and collapsed in it, pulling a cigarette out of her pocket. She lit it up and sat back, closing her eyes. But she didn't sleep. She'd have to see what kind of characters hung out here before she did that.

Smalls sauntered down the stairs, expecting to see one of the loud boys after the bang she'd just heard. Seeing an unfamiliar girl relaxing in a chair she gave a small laugh, walking over to her with a condescending smirk. "An' who da hell are you?"

Cards opened one eye and gave the girl standing in front of her a once over. She sat up and rested her elbows on her knees. "Dat depends on who's askin'"

"Oh yeah?" Smalls took another step closer, looking down at her. "What if I told you da Brooklyn leadah's askin'?"

Cards narrowed her eyes again. This girl was the leader of Brooklyn? Where was the famed Spot Conlon she'd heard so much about? Cards, though still a bit overly suspicious, decided to play along. "Well, 'scuse me, Miss Leadah o' Brooklyn. Da name's Cards."
