Fancy moved away. "I'm sorry..." she didn't know what else to say. She grabbed Red's arm, as if to say 'dooooo something!"

Shaking his head, he gave SlingShot a one armed hug. "There's nuttin to be sorry foah, believe me. I think...we have just had too much thrown on us at once, ya know?"

Fancy nodded "Its late and people are all excited about this whole war thing... i think it kinda throws people off... Like me for example! I NEVER pick fights with people because i know i'll lose..." she laughed...

Spot sat down sadly, this was a mess. Brooklyn fightin with Bronx. Gamble choosing Bronx over Brooklyn. "Look Gamble, I dont want you to fight. But dont you dare judge anyone for wanting to. And I'm treating Fancy the way shes treating me. Honestly why dont you just go to the Bronx? Ace dont like to fight, unless necessary o' course. And you act like ya hate me leada'hship, dea'h ain't no one whos gunna hold ya back."

Scrap was glad that spat was over with. Watching the most powerful borough in New York arguing amongst itself wasn't exactly what he was expecting to see coming in here. He knew Spot would take care of it though, I mean, he's Spot Conlon. From all the stories he'd heard the kid should be wearin' some kind of crown.
Leaning against the wall he pulled out a cigarette and lit it, taking a long drag and watching the two girls for a response to the leader.

SlingShot sniffled again, looking at Spot gratefully, and appriciating Red's comforting. For once she was at a loss for words, and looked around the room, waiting for someone to respond to Spot.

Gamble threw her arms up. "Trust Conlon to say something to piss me off right when things started to calm down." She stated and rolled her eyes. "I didn't side with The Bronx. I defended Fancy. There's a difference.

SlingShot wanted to retort to that, but kept her mouth shut. She was afraid that if she opened it, she would begin to cry again. And so she kept her mouth shut for fear of them seeing her cry again.

From her chair, Flare watched as the battle raged around her, feeling like the entire thing was stupid to begin with. And now if they were just going to fight amongst each other, what was the point of even trying. She also couldn't help but wonder when things got so out of control in Brooklyn, Flare always thought they had their stuff together, but here they are crying away already.
"Youse guys are sad, an' heah Ise was undah de impression dat Brooklyn was de one burrough dat really had its stuff togethah. Wes not even one day inta dis war an' youse already tearin' eachodda apart. What's it gonna be like in a week o' two when wes all low on money an' food. Youse gonna be killin' eachodda ovah nuttin'."
She thought quietly for a moment. It was crazy, and the last thing she wanted to do was drag her brother into this mess more than he had to be, but it was worht a shot. Flare then stood up and headed over to Spot.
"Now Ise dunno how long de rest can go witout papes, but Ise can't go long an' Ise don't take charity from nobody. But Ise got family in Queens, an' Ise could try to talk 'im inta helpin' us get some papes. Ise can't promise nuttin', but Ise can try."

Fancy sighed deeply than made her way across the room towards the door again. "Fine... I'll go then..." she really didn't want to fight with Spot right now. "So i'll see you people tomorrow...." it was dark and Fancy was stalling as much as she could. When she reached the door she placed her hand on the knob. She gulped and turned it. Have fun getting back to the bronx Fancy....

Spot looked at Flare. "I's just been saying we can sell papes, we just gotta stick togedda. Simple as that. If you wants to get help from you'ah family dats fine wit me." he swirled around to look at Gamble, "I aint said you sided with Bronx, dat would make no sense since I'VE sided with Bronx," He continued, "What I'm saying is dis, Brooklyn, doesnt seem like da right place for you. Did you tink it was gunna be all butterflys and lolipops when you moved hea'h?"

Scrap couldn't help but snort at the remark. He was thinking the same way Spot was. From what he'd heard, newsies were afraid to even come near Brooklyn.

Rusty wandered into the room, he was new to this newsie life, he had spent most of his childhood in jail--a real jail, not the refuge. When he got out he figured he'd live a respectable life and be a newsie. Of course he heard that Spot ran the best burough and now there was a war going on-right up his alley!
"Hiya guys, I assume your Spot," he said nodding towards the leader, "I hoid thea'h was going to be a war..."

Spot sized up the newsie, "Yeah, I'm Spot. And youa'h name was? Oh and by da way, if yous is got a problem wit fighting-just turn around right now, I dont want to deal wit anudda whinner."

"I didn't move here. I was born here. And how exactly does Brooklyn seem like it ain't the right place for me? 'Cause I ain't gonna beat up random kids for no reason? Or 'cause I asked how we was gonna make money? 'Cause, you see, that's how this arguement started. Then you guys blew it way outta proportion. All I asked was how I could get money then Slingshot over here started gettin' all pissy." Gamble said, trying to calm herself down. She's lived in Brooklyn her whole life. She didn't plan on moving anytime soon. "And I ain't whinin'. I simply asked how we was gettin' money. You just hate the fact that some people disagree with what you think. You're narrow minded."
