"There might be an old vace in there, but I think that's pretty much it for flowery fabrics, except for the bedsheets... and pillow cases... and table cloth, and that one blanket," he said thinking. "We had a lot of flowery fabric, and my mother had a lot of time on her hands, so she sewed... a lot."

"I see... oh, this vase?" She held it up and admired it. "Wow. that's REALLY pretty!"

"Yeah, and be careful with it, okay? My grandfather made it," he said. "I have such a strange family... they made almost everything... my mothers side anyway. That was my mom's dad's handy work ya got there," he said taking it from her and setting it on the counter.

"Are you suggesting that I'd drop it?" She questioned in a surprised tone, staring at him, but quickly changing the subject.
"Your family sure is creative... really good with making things..."

"Yep, but the gene missed me. I can't make a thing to save my life. But, I can sell a paper better than most," he said with a nod. He wasn't one for bragging, but he really could sell a paper very well. But that was because he had his own tactics that he only used with a few select people, but they always brought in money.

"The way you sell papes is creative, right?" She half-stated, staring at him. "Then the creativity gene didn't skipp you, it just gave you a more practical use for your creativity."

"If ya want to look at it that way," he said with a shrug as he took more things from her and put them in their new homes. "So, how about you? Good with your hands, or more of a performer?" Everyone had a talent, he figured Cheater did too.

"Hmmm... I suppose I'm more of a performer... sitting still and working on making things doesn't work well with me, not to mention I put on a little act whenever I sell my papes." She smiled a bit more and handed him a stack of plates.

"Who doesn't?" he asked her with a grin. Seemed like every newsie now a days had a gimmik or something. Finding a newsie who didn't 'improve the truth' was rare since they were few and far between. He took the plates and set them on the counter restacking them in the cupboard. "Can ya sing too?" he asked her, just making conversation.

"When I want to, yes... but I'm not as good as, oh, say... Medda. Why? Can YOU sing?" Cheater asked, trying not to laugh because of the image she got when she imagined Avalanche singing.

There was no need for her to hold back a laugh because Avalanched laughed anyway. "Uhhh... no," he said rather bluntly. "I'm not a singer, nor a dancer, nor an actor... unless it's improvisation, then I do alright. But other than that... no, I'm a newsie, born and raised, and I fear that may be all I'm ever good at," he said with a smile to her.

"Okay, then I can laugh at the image of you singing." She stated, cracking up and having a good laugh for a few moments before handing him a glass.

"Gee... thanks," he said sarcastically, but he said it with a smile, so it was all in fun. "There are just somethings that some people are not meant to do. Singing happens to be mine," he said laughing with her and taking the glass.

"Well, after a lot of practice, you COULD be pretty good at it..." Cheater trailed off, searching in the box until she found a large clock.
"This. Is. One. Huge. Clock. What's in here, bricks?!" She exclaimed, trying to keep it off the ground as she handed the wall decoration to Avalanche.

He took the clock from her with ease. "Not the last time I checked," he said looking it over, "just a lot of metal." He said laughing a bit. "But I can't hang it until I find my hammer... where ever that is. And I think I'll put it in the living room. I don't have a clock in there... speaking of clocks. What time is it?" he said looking out the window to make a guess... which would be wrong.
