"Uh... is the clock working? Because ya know, if you're holding a clock, and you ask what time it is..." She looked around for another clock, and couldn't find one.
"Judging by the way that the sun is... I'd say that I have no idea. What's your guess?"

Avalanche rolled his eyes. "It's not wound up. It says 10:00, and it's definatly not 10:00." He sighed a little and looked out the window again. "Let's say... 1:17?" he said with a shrug. Really, it was just a random guess, the only thing that was educated about it was the hour. "I'll figure out the real time later," he said with a shrug as he walked to put the clock in the living room.

"Okay... hey, is this box full of dishes, or is it something that I can move aside?" She questioned as she looked at some of the boxes under the top one.

She grinned back. "Hey, no problem!" Moving the box aside, she quickly opened the one under it.
"You got a place to put all these books, or are you going to leave 'em in the box for now?"

"Hey, my books!" he said. "I've been lookin' for them... I thought they were in my room... no wonder I couldn't find 'em. No, there's a book case in the living room. We can unload them there," he said as he picked up the box and took it into the living room and set it down on a chair near the book case. "Just hand me books, I'll put 'em on the shelves," he said.

With a salute, Cheater began to hand him books. However, the book-handing stopped, as she picked up a book on poetry and began to read.
"Hmmm... they have some good poems in here..." she mused, handing him the book after a few more minutes.

"Ya like it?" he asked. He thumbed through it a little himself. He cleared his throat then and recited:
This quiet dust was gentlemen and ladies And lads and girls; Was laughter and ability and sighing, And frocks and curls;
This passive place a summer's nimble mansion, Where bloom and bees Fulfilled their oriental circuit, Then ceased like these.
-Emily Dickenson"
He closed the book and some dust flew into the air. He fanned his hand through the air to clear the dust a bit before he offered it back to her. "Ya want it?" he asked.

She stared, open-mouthed, at Avalanche and the book. It was a miracle that a fly didn't fly inside her mouth and choke her...
"What? Oh... are you sure you'd be willing to give it to me?" She asked, waving the dust particles out of her face and smiling.

"Well I ain't gonna use it," he said with a shrug. "B'sides, I got pleanty of books... and you like the poems, you'll probably get more use out of it then I would. Take it," he said. "It's yours."

She took the boo kand examined it, eyes wide as she opened it and scanned the first few pages. "Ooh! Grazie mille ((thanks a million)) Avalanche!" Cheater exclaimed, hugging him and grinning.
((Haha, I learned something!))

Avalanche laugned and hugged her back. "Ya welcome kid but... what does 'Grazie mille' mean?" Suddenly he felt like he were talking to Prince when she was a kid... "What language is it?"

Cheater laughed as well. "It means thanks a million in Italian." She explained, smiling brightly.

"Italian... great," he said rolling his eyes a bit. "I don't speak Italian," he informed her... though it was obvious. "And... if I didn't say it already, you're welcome," he added.

Dusty leaned on the door frame, watching them quietly, not wanting to interupt. "Heya guys..." she said lightly, smiling at them. "Morning Cheater... Lanche" she greeted a little over cheerfully, she still wasn't used to the whole Cheater living with Avalanche senario yet but she liked Cheater and she trusted her man so it wasn't that big of a deal anymore. "Looking at more flowery pink curtains are we?" she teased, with a small snort of laughter.
