Aria started to tear up, despite her anger. "Damn it, I won't just sit down!! Don't touch me!!" Cause she well knew her anger would snuff out under Clarence's hands. She stomped her foot like a petulant child, knowing full well that the non-pregnant Aria would be embarassed, but eh. Hormones. What can ya do?
"I heard from someone that you shot a kid...and told him you could. And he didn't fight! He didn't deserve it! Who the HELL am I marrying?"

Clarence wasn't going to let her go. He wasn't going to raise his voice either.
"Your marrying me, Clarence Carter. And I did shoot a kid. Once out of spite and the other because he went to pull a knife on me." He didn't care what she would do, but he pulled her into a tight hug.
"I love you Aria, and I'm sorry I didn't tell you."

"I love you too..."Aria started crying, but leaned against Clarence, one hand around his waist, one on her stomach. "Why didn't you just tell me....I would have understood--but you had to lie..."
She looked up at him. "I'm not letting our child grow up with a corrupt father...we all make mistakes. You made one, okay. We're human...but don't become like the other cops..." Her voice was hard but she could feel the anger in her ebbing away..

"I would have told you, but I guess I was afraid of your reaction. Although you might not have slapped me across the face if I had." Clarence kissed the top of her head, just holding her.

Aria sighed and kept crying a bit, despite her tries to stop. "...It's okay..." She rubbed his back a bit as she talked. "...I made my mistake, you made yours...we're even." A soft smile played across her lips. "Given, I'm sure we'll make more...just no more lies."
She took one his hands and placed it on her belly. "If not for just our sakes, but for his or her sake as well..." She leaned up and kissed Clarence's lips softly. ..I'm sorry I slapped you."

"I probably deserved it, and no more lies." Clare said, kissing her back. He thought he felt the baby kick, but he wasn't sure.
"Now, how 'bout we sit down and you and the baby have some of that food I fought so hard for?" he was smiling again.
It was Clarence's nature that he didn't like to be too serious for too long.

Aria smiled and laughed a bit, wiping tears away. "I'll be so damn happy when this hormone thing is over..."
She sat down and looked over the place. "Thanks for getting this for us, love.."

Clarence only smiled when she went after the pickles. He actually felt sorry for them. He sat down on the other side of the table, eating at a chocolate donought.
"You might want to pace yourself, before you lose those to the toilet tonight."

Aria still somehow managed to look dainty while eating. "...well...you are right." She put one of the pickles down and picked up a couple apple slices instead.
She smiled happily. "So...I don't know if you want to speak on it...but I was thinking a December wedding...."

Clarence wasn't expecting her to want the marriage so soon. He only nodded as he took another bite. Then after swallowing he spoke,
"December sounds good to me. I'm ready whenever you are." he looked back up at her smiling. He didn't really care when it happened, as long as it happened.
"I think I'll leave you up to the planning, or else we might end up getting married in a bar somewhere."

Aria smiled brightly and reached over, squeezing his hand. "December is a bit early, I know...but I'll be having the child in Feburary...I thought it'd be better to have the wedding before the birth..."
She laughed a bit. "...I love you." Leave it to Clarence to probably get them married somewhere random.

"February? Isn't that a little soon?" Clarence wasn't sure that he was well prepared enough to be a father just yet. He was scared, terrified.
"I guess it would be better to have the wedding before the birth." he replied, after gathering his thoughts and himself.
Had it really been six months?

Aria squeezed his hand again before patting it. "Honey...I can't just...postpone the birth...you'll be fine."
She laughed a bit. "Honey...we would never get married if we waited til after...we wouldn't have time.."

"Are you sure we can't postpone it?" He was only joking as he took her hand and kissed it.
"If you say it'll be fine, then it will!" he grinned. He knew she had to be nervous too, but women were lucky. It all came naturally for them.

Aria sighed. "Yes...we both will be." She was nervous, but she figured she wouldn't worry about it until just before the birth.
"But...besides the boy you shot....are you on okay terms with the rest of the newsies?"
