"To be honest, not really. None of them care much for a bull or a pig or whatever they call us." Clarence squeezed her hand lightly, if she wanted newsies at the wedding, he could deal with it.
"If they do come, I'll have the preacher leave out the object part, or those newsies would carry you away from me." he grinned.

Aria laughed softly. "Yes...you always are reffered to as some sort of animal..."
She rubbed her thumb against his cheek a bit. "..Well then we'll leave that out...but I'm sure they will see you are a good man. I know you are. A bit tarnished on the edges...but a good man none the less."

"Thank you, love, your not so bad yourself." Clarence smiled brightly.
"So if we can't get married in a bar, then where shall we?" He had actually liked the bar idea. It would be cheap, and there would be free food, though it was only peanuts.

Aria laughed a bit and sat back, resting her hands on her belly. She must look a sight, still dressed up as marie anntionette. "..I was thinking the big cathedrial in Queens." She shrugged. "It's no bar...but I suppose it will have to do."

"A cathedral sounds great." Clarence's face softened at the thought of getting married to her and the birth of their child. They were going to be happy.
"I guess a December wedding it is, are you going to invite your parents?" Aria had never really talked about them, and Clarence wasn't sure if they were even living.

Aria furrowed her brow a bit. "I'll invite them, but and my father will come...but I doubt my mother will." She shrugged. "Thinks I've waisted my life being a performer. That I've become a floosey." She laughed a bit. "My mother and I never did see eye to eye...but my father's a good man."

Clarence noticed the way she talked about her father and her mother. He was more nervous about meeting her father than her mother.
"Your not a floosey, and if you want, I could retrieve your mother and handcuff her to a pew." he smiled then, imagining a short french woman cussing him out the entire time.

Aria laughed. "...the woman is dignified to a falt." She sighed. "...no. I'd actually rather not have her there. Cause if she doesn't show on her own, she doesnt deserve to be a part of my life." She didn't mention the fact that her mother also thought it was below Aria to be involved with a cop. Her father hadn't been there for the conversation, but she was sure her father would just be happy she was happy.
"She's still caught up in the idea that we should be treated like royalty or some crap like that."

"Well it doesn't help much that your dressed up as a French Queen. If your mother wants royalty then I can declare myself King Clarence of Norway." He laughed at that thought. If her mother didn't come it was all right with Clarence, but some part of him still wanted her mother to accept them being together. He wasn't sure why though.
"So, my dear, what now?"

Aria laughed and pat his hand. "Hun...you're already royalty enough for me..." She winked and kissed his hand. "Besides...queens never love their king. I dont want that."
She sighed and rubbed her stomach a bit. "I don't know, but my feet are killing me, so no more dancing for me." She smiled. "Though seems like everyone else is enjoying themselves"

"Well this party was for the newsies and I don't think there was anyone who didn't have fun." Clarence took a long look at her costume. "You know, all that hair is going to give you back problems. That's probably why your feet hurt." He smiled again, which he had been doing a lot as of late.

Aria laughed...really laughed. "Oh Clarence...always coming up with the perfect answers." She removed her wig, her own blond hair tumbling down around her shoulders. "I feel better already!" She smiled brightly. "Though I do believe my feet still hurt." She winked goodnaturedly.

Clarence pulled his chair over so that he was next to her. He patted his leg for her to prop her feet up on. "Now come one, this is a once in a lifetime, only while your pregnant, chance." He grinned as he leaned over and kissed her lightly.

Aria blushed softly, kissing him back. "You are too good to me..." She put her feet up. "But I doubt it will be once in a life time considering what you want..." She reached out and squeezed his shoulder.

"Alright, alright, this is a seven in a lifetime chance." Clarence replied as he took her shoes off and began to rub her feet. He hoped it was helping, but with pregnant women it was one thing one moment, then another the next. "You know, Aria, maybe it was these shoes that were killing your feet." He smiled up at her, thankful that he wasn't a woman.
