Orchard Beach is nice and sandy! Come here to hang out in the sun, or even sell some papes to beach goers!

Jewel strolled down the length of the beach, yelling out to the beachgoers, as she held up a paper. "Jockey at Aqueduct Racetrack caught bribing horse owners for sales! Get the latest news!"

"Jockey at Aqua costs millions- Refunds handed out to those on dis list!"
At least a dozen people rushed the kid on the other side of the beach, scrambling to see if their names were on the list. Smirking, Ace pocketed the money and sent her a grin and a two-fingered salute.

Sighing, frustrated at Ace, who she knew from the Distribution Center when he had told her to pocket her money and not take it out until she was ready to buy her papes, she gritted her teeth and yelled out to the beachgoers, "Governor Roosevelt tried with bribing government official through real estate offer!"
Tons of people rushed over to her, pratically throwing their money at her, anxious to get their hands on a copy of the paper. Jewel turned in Ace's direction, smirked devilishly, tipped her hat, and walked off, mentally congratulating herself.

"SHARK FOUND OFF COAST OF MASS! HUNDREDS FLEE IN PANIC!" Ace's sharp voice cut through everything.
Every single beachgoers raced to him, buying out every last one of his papers and throwing money at him, begging for more. Promising to bring back more in the later edition, Ace pocketed it all, grinned and sweapt his hat off in her direction before dissapearing around the corner.

"Oh, does that kid make me mad!" Jewel muttered under her breath angrily. She rushed after him and spun him around. "Alrighty bucky, I don't know what your deal is, but you stay off my turf! Orchard Beach is one of my two selling spots and I do not appreciate you coming in and stealing my regulars!"

Ace grinned at her, and flipped something into her hands. Turning back, he tipped his hat down, "Have a nice day." and soon vanished among the crowd.
In her hands, was a money pouch, and in it- all the money he had just earned.

Jewel watched as Ace vanished into the crowd of beachgoers before she looked down at the pouch in her hand. She slipped the few papers she had left to sell under her arm and opened up the pouch, eyes widening. "What the..." she was in complete shock of what she was seeing. There, in the little brown pouch, was a bundle full of money, mostly coins, but a dollar of too as well. She looked at the money for a moment before she closed the pouch and tied the pouch to her dress tie.
Gathering her papers back into her hands, she walked off down in the opposite direction of the beach.

Mush and Jewel arrived at Orchard Beach, on the sand. Mush, by then had relased Jewel's arm, and was walking with his hands in his pockets quietly. He was thinking of something to talk about, and having next to no luck.

Jewel, walking contently down the length of the beach with Mush was trying to think of something to say, but was having no luck whatsoever. She really wasn't all that great of a conversationalist, but then again, she was a very quiet and somewhat shy young girl.

"Well... this is the beach then," he said quietly as he looked out into the water. "Lots of sand... lots of water..." he said stating the obvious. He shrugged. Like I said, he couldn't come up with what to say.

Jewel nodded. "Yeah... water and sand... and uh... fish and seashells too." She could mentally kick herself for saying that. She sounded completely stupid and foolish. "Um... so... tell me about yourself."

Jewel laughed at him. "Um... I don't really know." She shrugged just a bit. "How come you don't have a girlfriend?" Was that an appropriate question to ask? She mentally kicked herself for asking it, but she was a bit curious.

Mush had to laugh just a little. "Well... b'cause I just ain't consistant I guess... dunno. I've had a couple..." more than a couple, "but dey all seem to find someone more interesting or somethin'... I guess..." he said with a shrug. "How about youse? Youse gotta boy friend?" he asked her with another of his charming smiles.
