She raised an eyebrow. wow... she melted. "i guess.... but you'd say that to anyone..." she told him, regaining her compossure and pushing him away. She moved around him, crossing her arms across her chest.

"Maybe I would..." he said with a shrug, and he probably would. "That doesn't make it any less true," he said smiling at her. "People die. Good people, bad people... but why does it have to be anyone's fault? You focus on death all your life eventually you'll die yourself, and won't have gotten anywhere." Avalanche sure did have a lot if interesting things to say about death... spent time thinking about it apparently.

She turned around. "Are you ever upset?" she nearly shouted... he was always happy.. she wondered how he did it. "For goodness sakes Alex!" she nearly screamed at him. She sank down to the ground on the side of the path, tears falling off her cheeks. She looked away.

He walked over to her slowly and knelt down beside her. "Dusty, I'm sorry," he said wiping her tears away. "Yeah... I've been sad a lot, but it's no good tryin' to make other people happy when you're sad yourself. Besides, bein' sad's no fun," and Avalanche was all about having fun, and enjoying life.

She gasped slightly and smacked his hand away. "I know your only tryin' tah help Lanche..." she swallowed hard. "It still doesn't help dat I killed a guy... and not just a guy either..." as bizarre as it was, Dusty would actually have rather killed someone other than Rex...

Avalanche took his hand away when she didn't want him touching her. "I wish I knew what to tell you Dusty," he said with a shrug. "But if you don't want me helpin' then youse can come an' find me latah," he said standing. Though... he didn't leave right away.

He looked down at her with a soft smile. "I'll stay, but you have to tell me what I can do... even if it's just sit here in the middle of the sidewalk with you quietly... just tell me what to do," he said, honestly wanting to help.

She sighed deeply and kissed his mouth gently, her hand on the back of his head. She tilted her head to deepen it a little bit, her fingers twisted together with his.

Avalanche kissed her back slowly. Not sure if he should at first, but then decided to follow his rule: you only live once! He kissed her passionately as the two of them sat on the ground, in the middle of the sidewalk.

She nearly melted. She slid her hand over to his cheek as she kissed him a little harder. She felt herself put her arms around his neck. She pulled away for a moment to whisper "I love you..." she didn't care if he didn't feel the same, that was how she felt and she thought he should know. She had fallen and fallen hard.

Avalanche continued to kiss her, and he opened his eyes for a moment. He closed his eyes again, and pulled back for a second. "I... love youse too," he said finally decideing that he did.
