Nick had found his mark, and he was back to the way he had been when he came in the front door, angry and ready to throw something out a window. But he kept it under control, for now. "I suppose you're the one who spoke with my worker then as well..." he said with a quiet anger. He woudln't expload just yet.

"Excuse me?" His eyes registered confusion, and his eyebrow rose a little in question. "You're...Nick, right?" He leaned back in his chair, "I dont understand what is going on. Your worker? I've been out recruiting for Nicholas." He motioned toward the list he had been working on. "Being a former leader has its uses, i suppose."

"You may recruit for Nicholas, but he sends some of those people to me, and it just so happens that one of those girls that you used to be the leader of decided out of no where that she didn't want to work for me anymore. I don't suppose you had anything to do with it?" he asked as he leaned forward, "did you?" His eyes were the scariest thing about that statement. They were daring him to lie to him, daring him to say anything that he thought wouldn't be the truth.

"Of course not." Ace looked at him quizically, his eyes matching Nick's own. He was used to the burning eyes, and wasn't going to shy from them. Even if Ace told the truth, and he hadn't talked to anyone, Nick wasn't going to believe it. "Some people just aren't cut out for this sort of work, Nick. Nicholas tested me before coming here, and i haven't failed him yet. If I had, i wouldn't see the problem in you questioning me. But i haven't, and therefor, i do see the problem in you questioning me." He leaned forward a bit too, "So why?"

"Because I think you're lying to me," Nicholas said keeping the glare on his face. "I think that you're here for your own gain, and not to assist us. Tell me if I'm getting warm here," he said. His tone was still dangerously quiet and intense. It woudn't take much for him to do a lot of damage.

"You're free to think what you want, Nick, that's why you and the others are the bosses here." He sat back, shrugging a little. "Nothing i can say will change that, nor would i try. Contrary to popular belief, i rarely like to lead. And to answer your question, you're ice cold."

Nick looked at him with a curious eye. This kid was... weird. "So you aren't here to help yourself... and not here to help us or so it seems," he was making assumptions. "Then you must be here to help others. Making up their minds for them, and what not. You're trying to tell people not to side with us..." he had a feeling things were about to heat up.

Ace snorted a little and shook his head, "You're assuming things, Nick. Who ever said i wasn't trying to help you." He tapped the desk-top and his paper. "This proves you wrong. I am trying to assist you." He looked up at him from where he said, calm. "But you dont believe that in the slightest."

"I intend in it," he said looking from the paper back to Ace as he stood up straight again. "Because there's one detail that has you beat. There are only two people from the Bronx that have joined our ranks. Cheater was one of them," he said putting emphasis on her name. "You were the other. Cheater herself said her friend told her this... and I believe that you were the friend she spoke of. If I'm wrong... tell me," he said his eyes on fire once again.

Ace looked at him for a long moment, his voice soft. "You would like to think your spider web of ideologies we are all a part of, is perfect, but it isnt." He knew he was beat, and besides, Nick wasn't going to believe him, no matter what he said. "So yes, maybe i did. Maybe i didnt. Doesnt matter; wont change the outcome. Will it, Nick?"

"As a matter of fact it will," he said. "And you have yet to answer my question." Ace, being an honest man, like Nick assumed, wouldn't lie over and over. Or so he thought. That's how he intened on making it out to seem anyway.

"Yes i have, you just haven't been paying attention." Ace scoffed, "You asked me whose interest i am working for, the answer was you. You asked me if i had anything to do with Cheater apparently wanting out, and i said no." He looked up at him through his dark bangs. "That answer good enough for you?"

Nick looked down on him with a glare. "No," he replied before he let a fist fly towards Ace's left side of his face. His intent was to knock him off the chair and do some definate damage to that pretty boy, cocky face of his.

Bracing for it, Ace let the fist connect to his face, and although he had been prepared, Nick was a lot bigger, and a lot stronger. He staggered to the side, slamming from his seat and hitting his knees on the ground. From where he was, Nick had a clean shot with his foot, and so the other moved to his feet, licking the edge of his lip lightly. "....All right."

That was going to leave a mark. Nick was pretty proud of himself to be honest. "...alright? That's all you have to say for yourself?" he said angrily. He glared at Ace for a moment. "If I hear any thing from any other kids about wanting to quit, it'll be your head I come after, you understand me?" And, it was more likely then not, that if it did ever happen again, there wouldn't be much left of the young Bronx leader, Nick would see to that himself.
