Jack shrugged. "Fair 'nough." He glanced at her nodding a bit. "So you plannin' on stayin' in 'hattan all day?" It wasn't an attack, just a simple questoin.

Jack laughed, poking her gently in the shoulder. "Stop lookin' like I'm gonna have you thrown in da rivah!" He smirked slyly. "If I'd wanted to do that, I'd a done it by now."

SlingShot smiled, still nervous but pretty sure that the Manhattan leader wasn't going to do anything to her. "Sorry....this whole night has been just a little bit nerve-racking"

Jack nodded, finishing his cigarette, flicking it off to the side. "Yeah, I could understand that." He ran a hand through his hair. "But hopefully soon this will all be over so going to another burough won't make you think you are signin' your death certificate."

Jack laughed softly. This girl was still acting like he was going to kill her. Like a trapped mouse trying to reason with the cat.
"Slingshot, would you like me to escort you back to Brooklyn? ...that is if you want to go back. I'll make sure you are safe here if you want to stay."

SlingShot hesitated. She wanted to stay, but was still afraid of being in Brooklyn. She didn't understand why, because she was usually perfecty fine in situations like these. She considered the options. "Well... would it be dangerous in any way if I stayed? I... I don't wanna go back and face Spot right now."
