He smiled back at her. "You tired? You look it." Leaning forward, he gave her a kiss on her forehead and moved her bangs from her face.

Chuckling, he kept walking a little slower, liking her company. "So, do you want to sleep as I take you? Or do you want to stay up and talk?"

"I want to stay up!" She exclaimed grinning. Her eyes were drooping though and her head was nodding.

Laughing, he nodded his head. "Ok, hm..." He looked up at the now dark sky and smirked, "What do you want to talk about?"

He licked his lips and smiled. "I live in an apartment in Brooklyn. I would bring you there, but I can't yet."

"Yeah, I do like my job. It isn't fun, but at least I get money. That's all that counts." Smiling softly at her, he started humming a song.

Smiley yawned and smiled. Hearing the pretty tune he was humming, she listened intently. Pretty soon the song lulled her to sleep. Her head was against his chest and she slept soundly, her chest moving up and down with her breathing. She had a content look on her face.

As he finished the song, he smiled slightly down at her, himself tired as well. Taking in a deep breath, he gave her a kiss and hugged her tightly, hoping she didn't get cold.

(New Day)
Tate was a lot of things, she was vivacious but also naive, friendly but she could be reserved and at that moment she had made her way into the Borough of Brooklyn for a couple reasons. One, was the find her aunt and the other-- was to see how Danny was fairing. She hadn't seen him much through winter but she had to admit she was worried. She was a dolt sometimes.
"Worrying about him like this," she murmured to herself with a sigh as she moved down the street with ease. "I should be more worried about getting home or finding Auntie.." she turned her head when she heard a noise and her foot went into a crate sending her sprawling. "Raspberries!" she shouted as she closed her eyes and waited for the crash landing.

Two arms instantly reached out, gently catching her before she fell. "You should be more careful miss," Danny scolded with a smirk, and being very conscious of how close he held her he quickly righted her on her own feet.
He had noticed Tate a few blocks back and began following her, slowly catching up as she weaved through the unkind streets of Brooklyn. She had fallen just as he had managed to reach her-- much to his amusement.

The arms that caught her were strong and the voice had her looking up to meet the person she was searching for. She smiled a little, how did he always manage that? Her feet found solid ground and she gave him a full smile, her hands settling on his forearms.
"Danny! I was looking for you," and her aunt but really it was Danny she was more interested in seeing. "How have you been?" It was as if she hadn't been muttering or about to take a tumble into the street.

Danny couldn't suppress a small grin at her enthusiasm at seeing him, but attempted to appear reproachful. "Tate, I told ya not to come here." She was either damn stupid or damn stubborn, as he specifically remembered telling her that Brooklyn wasn't safe-- especially for her. He couldn't deny that he was happy to see her, but if it meant keeping her safe he was willing to be hard on her this time.
