"At this point, lassie, I think you all should leave. There are plenty of other docks to swim on. I think it would be best if you all went over there."
She nodded. "Aight, but it's up ta Dewey. I agree, but it's his choice." Dots looked at Dewey and gave him and apologetic look.

Scar shook his head, "I'm not giving you an option girl. It's leave now or your boyfriend will know what a fight is, a losing fight at least." This girl was grating on his nerves and with every word she spoke his grip on the boys collar got tighter. He did not like a girl trying to bargain with him and it showed. At this point he was restraining himself by a mile and if this happened at the bar then this would have been done and over with by now because he would have thrown fists instead of words and would have most assuredly injured the boy.

Scar smirked, "I never would have come near you in the first place if this one here hadn't rushed me." He accentuated his point by pulling on Dewey's shirt a bit. "And maybe you should let the boyo speak for himself. I always found it made more of an impression."
Yes it was a snide remark towards women and he knew it. He had said it for that reason. He was absolutely sick of the girl and if she said another thing she would be the reason he let loose on the boy.
He loosened his grip on Dewey and pushed him a bit towards the beginning of the docks. He didn't push him enough to make it seem like a threat, just a way of saying get your things and go. Stop causing trouble that you won't be able to find your way out of.

Dots mouth dropped open at what this guy said. It was very rude, and she was thinking about soaking the bum herself, but she breathed in and out and relaxed her hands. When he pushed Dewey away, she ran up to Dewey without thinking, and hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. "Come on, let's go. I'm sorry for thinking of comin' heah, it's all my fault."

Dewey breathed in slowly glaring at the older boy, struggling prevent himself from taking another shot at him. "don't blame yourself it ain't ya fault " he said gently turning to face Dots before straightening his collar and bending down to grab the rest of his clothes "but jus' foah da record" he added, facing the older boy once again "I'm only reason i'm leavin' is 'cause I'm concerned foah my girl's safety. You seem jus' like da kinda guy who'd beat on a girl foah kicks." he added contempuously as he grabbed Dots' hand and began to walk away.

Dots smiled at him sadly. "I wanted ta come ta Brooklyn though, we could've went ta Queens or somethin'. I'm still sorry." At Dewey's comment at him beating at a girl for kicks, she gasped and squeezed his hand, but still walked away without looking back.

Scar shook his head at the kid, thinking he was definately trying to show off in front of his girl with those words. Normally Scar would respond with a fist in the face to show the kid his place but Scar wasn't in a normal mood today. "Boyo I'd much rather beat up on you if you continue to run your mouth." He had to speak louder than he would normally in order to let them here. It was a threat he'd folllow through on because he was beginning to think these kids were a little too thick for their own good.
If he hadn't been in the mood he was he probably would have pulled his gun on him the moment he had rushed him. But Scar was in a different sorts of mood and his mind didn't even travel to the pistol tucked beneath the back of his shirst. But if this went much further he knew he would. Of course he wouldn't shoot him now in front of all these people but he'd go looking for him later. He liked to savor his kill.

"sure ya would" replied Dewey in an undertone and, opting not to start anything more, continued to walk away "let's go ta da park so I can dry out a little" he suggested, focusing his attention back on Dots "I don' really feel like swimmin' anymore if it's okay wit' you"

((So much for an order to things. The guy that started the fight didn't even get a word in haha. Nicely done...))
Zero shifted so that he was a good three feet from the girl, glancing at her in disinterest as he nursed his smoke. With his sister being a pickpocket, he knew better than to let people stand too close when he didn't know them well. He opted to ignore her, instead, finding that he disliked anyone on his docks that didn't belong, be it bickering kids or nosy onlookers.
The entire exchange between Scar and the two kids was laughable, and Zero didn't bother to interfere. If anything, he would be in defense of his fellow dockworker and it was more than evident that Scar didn't need help in the situation. He had to admit that the female's attitude and voice was grating on his nerves, as well.
When the children finally headed off, Zero tossed his tab to the ground and stubbed it out with the toe of his boot before exhaling a stream of smoke coolly. It was time to get back to work, but the half-time show had been entirely disappointing.
He strode over to wear Scar stood and picked up the crate that had been thrown aside in the moment of violence. He simply smirked a little at Scar and shook his head as though to say 'what a bunch of idiots' before getting back to work.

Mooch rolled her eyes when zero moved away from her, she was only here to see what was goin on. If she'd wanted his money she woulda had it already. She didnt say anything and just stood watching the kids. She got a little edgy when it looked like a fight but she didnt really want to interfere, not till punches were thrown. Then she probably wouldn'ta been able to have helped stepping in. Watching kids get beat wasnt something she liked doing, specially when they looked as young as those ones. The situation seemed to cool a bit and soon the kids were walking away unharmed. Though she was glad it hadn't come to much violence, she had to admit she was a little bored now that what would probably be the only excitement in her day was over. She sighed and Spooky stood up and started walking back towards the streets of brooklyn. Mooch turned to look after him and smiled, "i'se comin, i'se comin" she muttered towards him before she took off following him.

Dots was still frowning, but she said, "Nah, it's ok. I don't wanna go swimmin' either." She gave Dewey another hug.

He smiled at her somewhat half heartedly in a feeble attempt to cheer her up. He didn't want this one bad experience to ruin their whole day. As they were leaving the area of the docks he realized that he hadn't put his pants back on yet. "Hold on a minute" he said stopping to find the top of the trousers and laying his other clothing down on the floor as he slipped them back on. " I probably shouldn't walk down da street without dese on huh?" he joked, his tone considerably lighter.

Dots giggled a little bit and her frown turned into a smile. "Ya, dat wouldn't be to much of a good idea. I don't want no one stealin' ya." She blushed.

"I don' t'ink ya gotta worry about dat" he assured her, finishing up with his pants and bending down to grab his suspenders and his hat. "i t'ink da more likely scenario would be dat da bulls'd pick me up foah indecent exposure" he said, smiling as he hitched up his suspenders and began putting on his shoes.
(Do you want to go to the park now?)
