Jib sat there a while, letting Impatient have time. He kept on hand on her shoulder and the other brushing through her hair. Finally he spoke, "Hey," his voice was quiet and sweet, "Come on, let me walk you home." He moved his hands, but waited for her to move before getting up.

She wiped her face, and stood up. "Thanks, I really appreciate it." Impatient put her hands in her pockets and waited until she started to walk.
(Do you want to start a post at the Front Steps of the Manhattan Lodging House?)

(yeah, I'll start it)
He walked beside her, staying close to comfort her. He didn't talk much but every now and then he'd restate his promise to help her and the rest of the newsies as best he could.

*New Day*
Melody was in Bronx for the day instead of being in Queens. He needed a new place to be for awhile, and Bronx was the first thing that came to mind. Smiling, he had his book of songs on him, and he needed to practice the one he just wrote when he was with Solitaire. Walking to the Harlem River, he sat at the edge of the southern docks and took off his socks and boots, his feet hanging over the edge.
Propping his elbows on his knees, he opened his book and laid it on his lap. He started to hum the tune, then started singing the words quietly. Taking a deep breath, he looked around, making sure not alot of people were around. Grinning, he started belting out the song and tapping the edge of the docks for a beat.

Perry walked up behind Melody, listening to him sing. When he was finished Perry began clapping his hands excitedly. "That is so neat! I wish I could sing like that. My sister can sing a little but not as good as you. I don't know any songs. What song was that? Huh? You're so good at singing. Could you teach me a little?"
His excitement got the best of him and once again he began rattling off without even taking a breath. He smiled brightly at Melody, showing that he was still innocent in world where it was rare and rarely cherished.

Blushing, Melody nodded his head. "Well, thanks a lot. I made that song. I make a lot of my own though." Grinning at Perry, he laughed a bit. "I could teach you, only if you wanted me too though, that is."

<<new day>>
Heather sighed, tossing a few rocks into the water as her legs dangled from the docks. Things were more complicated now, but at least she was in good with her father. Despite her past hatred for the man, he was actually trying, poor thing, to be a good father. She didn't mind it so much.
Nick was an amazing body guard, and she was trying to see what was there. She hadn't seen Lucas in a few months, and Scar in a few weeks.

((mind if I? Ill delete if this was for something else))
Nick walked out to the end of the dock, his eyes on the figure that sat at the edge. Pulling his cigarettes from his pocket he placed one between his lips and lit it, flicking the match into the water when he was done and inhaled deeply before letting it out. "Miss Eastman.."he smirked. "You look deep in thought. Plotting your next move?"he teased lightly before taking a spot next to her, as well as another drag from his cigarette.

((nope! It was for no one in particular!))
Heather rolled her eyes, resting her head on his shoulder absently. It was more of a friendly gesture more than anything; she had remembered what happened to her last time she tried anything. She would trust Nick enough for now. "I always am, aren't I?" She smirked. "Besides, I was wondering where you got off to. You're supposed to be protecting me. Not letting me wander off..."

Nick grunted. "oh me?"he said. "Well I think you wondered off on me, not the other way around>"he poked her side lightly, glancing down at her. He licked his lips a bit and slipped an arm around her waist, flicking some ashes into the water with his other. "You know regardless of how much your dad likes me, he'll kill me if anything happens to you.... without question." his fingers ran down her side a little trying to tickle her through her clothes. "Id like to prevent that. Think you can keep that in mind when you try to ditch me... Though Im hurt you would want to ditch me. I thought you loved my company"he smirked, a little chuckle escaping from between his lips.

Heather snorted, cuddling up a bit more. It was getting more chilly, and she was without her bloody coat. "Well, it's my job to sneak away. It's your job to outwit me. I can't help if you haven't caught up to me in that regard." She smirked, teasing, laughing. "And I do love your company, but what fun would it be if we didn't play this game once a week, at least?"

He chuckled again. "ah.. I see."he offered her his cigarette. "Wheres yer coat?"he asked, realizng she wasnt wearing it. He really needed to keep a better eye on her. "You dont know me very well if you think Id be able to outwit the likes of you"he teased. "Im to slow."he tapped the side of his head and shook his head, smirking a bit. "but this is true... at least you actually make me work. Here I thought id get to be lazy but no...'

"Mmm..thanks." Heather took the cigarette, taking a long drag. "Forgot it. I'm still unused to having a closet full of clothing. Or living in a big ole place." She smirked, laughing. "And you're smart; you just want me to say so." She looked back out over the water. "Of course you can't be lazy, Nick. You wouldn't like that. Besides, you'd look horrible fat."

"Well, get used to it. Dont need you gettin sick on me ya know"He told her, though even though he was smirking there was a seriousness in his tone. Nick grunted and shrugged, but didnt say anything more to that comment. He rubbed his cheek where a days worth of stubble was. He hadnt shaved that morning. "oh I dont know... I think I could pull it off..'He looked down at himself. "Couldnt be that bad...." he smirked.

Heather chuckled. "Fine fine. So demanding. Aren't I the one who's supposed to be givin' orders?" She smirked. "And perhaps I want you to take care of me. God knows my father wouldn't." She took another drag on the cigarette, before handing it back to Nick. "Maybe you could. But I like you how you are, Nick." She snorted. "And I wont say it again."
