*NEW*
Lexi made her way to a corner booth, trying to calm her racing thoughts. She felt on the edge, she knew she could find a poker game anywhere she wanted to. The thought hadn't even crossed her mind until two days ago when she'd realized that they were going to be broke in no time with the raise in the prices. It had always earned her a couple extra bucks when she played. But she knew she couldn't risk starting again because you never knew if you were playing with suckers or gangsters. Unfortunately she'd learned the hard way that either way most men didn't want to lose to a girl.
After a few moments she realized that someone was standing next to her when she looked up they were gazing at her expectantly. "Oh...uh...can I just get a water for now." When the waiter gave her a chagrined look she just shrugged. She knew she'd have to order something eventually if she wanted to sit here but she figured they were used to broke newsies and wouldn't bother her right off the bat.

Thunder walked into Tibby's unexpectedly. He was getting kind of hungry, and he had just enough for a hot dog and a water. Looking around for an empty table, all of them were full except for one, but it had a girl at the table, and he didn't want to be rude, so he just stood there trying to act normal.

Lexi looked up again, expecting to see the waiter coming back to tell her she has to order or leave. That's when she saw Thunder, she didn't know him but sort of recognized his face from the lodging house. She didn't exactly want company but figured it may take her mind off of things. "You can take a seat if you want, I'm not gonna bite you or anything." She forced a somewhat friendly smile to show that she was just kidding. "Maybe if you're sitting here they won't give me grief about buying food."

Thunder smiled at her, now noticing that she was Lexi, Perry's older sister. Thunder loved that kid, he was always happy and energetic. "Thanks, wait. Why don't ya want food?"

Lexi smiled as Thunder sat down, "Ah just not especially hungry right now. I just wanted to come in and get some water and take a rest." She had so much on her mind that taking a rest really hadn't been the point of coming in here. She just didn't feel like answering questions about why she needed a place to rest her racing mind.

He nodded his head and commented, "How's Perry and Reid doin'? I've seen Perry babblin' 'bout Spot a few times. " He smiled.

Lexi shrugged the last thing in the world she wanted to think about was either of her brothers. She was taking a rest from her search of her youngest brother and she had just finished arguing with Reid not even a few hours ago. For all she cared he could go rot to death for not even offering to help look for Perry. She shook her head and sighed, "I don't know...honestly, I've been looking for Perry for a couple of hours. He wondered away earlier and I have no idea where he could've gone. I just hope the damn bulls didn't get him."

Thunder suddenly remembered something. "Wait, I was down in Brooklyn at the Lodging House, I saw Perry there, he was with Spot, but dey were only talkin', so I think he's alright."

Lexi's eyes widened and she started, "He's where?" She stood so quickly she knocked her water over. He knew better than to go there and she got her hands on him lord was he gonna realize what he'd done. She hadn't been this stressed over anything ever. She couldn't imagine the sorts of things that would happen to him. "I have to go, thanks." She started hastily walking away.

Lexi shook her head, "I can find it on my own, thank you." She needed the walk to calm down besides you couldn't miss the sight of the Brooklyn bridge and she was sure once she crossed into Brooklyn any one of the newsies there could point her in the right direction. She didn't want company on the trip there and definately didn't want company on the trip back when she was reprimanding her brother.

Thunder frowned. He wanted to say hi to Spot and Perry, but he could tell that she wanted to be alone. "Aight, I guess I might see ya latah den. My name's Thunder by the way."

Lexi was more than a bit distracted when Thunder introduced himself but she nodded and gave a way, "Lexi, by the way." She threw over her shoulder and she walked out of the resturaunt. Her mind on making sure that Perry was okay and nothing had happened to him. With all the things people said about Spot Conlon she was just worried Perry would say something that he would find offensive and she'd find her little brother all bruised up.

"Oh, well it was.." Thunder didn't get to finish his sentence. Lexi was pretty much already gone, but he was still frowning. Sitting back down with a plop, he took a sip of his drink and sighed. All I wanted to do was make some new friends...jeez, Lightning was right, no one likes me..he thought to himself sadly.
