He lifted a brow and leaned back a little, folding his arms and trying to open that one eye. "What? What are ya talkin bout anyways.." He had no clue this bloke was rattling off about something.

Fighter walked up to the two and jokingly slapped Joe on the arm, "Yeah Joe, can't you see the guy just won the fight? Give him a minute to get outta the mindset of a brawl before you start drillin' him." Fighter gave Zeke a smile and pushed her hair back. "Just wanted to congratulate you and thank you for winnin' me some good amount of money."

He looked at Fighter and blinked, yes he looked damn it and he was going to eventually get hell for it. Besides, she was protected by Spot at any rate-- hands off. God damn he'd always loved a challenge but he liked his head and gonads still attached. Spot would have his balls. "Thanks, Fightah.. I didn't do to bad did I? Who's this knucklehead anyway?" he jerked his thumb at Joe.

Fighter smirked, "Yeah, it was a good fight. Like I said you won me money." With a grin she looked at Joe when Zeke asked who he was and gave him a friendly punch, laughing. She loved messing with Joe, he never took it seriously. "Aw, Zeke, Joe's a good guy." She smirked and pushed her hair back, "More than I can say about you, huh?"

"I'm a good guy," he protested lifting a brow, well okay maybe not such a good guy to woman but he was a good one in a pinch. If he was needed he was there and it was why he was so damn good in a fight. "I'm glad I won ya something Fightah.. see I told you to bet on me.."

*this was started before the strike are we going to run with that or are we going to go with the strike hasnt happened yet.*
Joe just lifted his eyebrow at both of them and nearly choked when zeke said "I'm a good guy." instead he just smirked. taking a drag of his cigarette he blew it out the corner of mouth and muttered good naturedly "Befoah or aftah ya tup da goils." he winked at Fighter and put his arm around her. "Just tryin ta open new lines of birdies." he said to her

Fighter grinned at Zeke when he said he was a good guy and tsked, "It isn't polite to fib, Zekey-boy." Of course, she was just pulling his chain, she was actually pretty fond of him already. He was a good fighter so that pretty much won him over with her. "And you were right, you won me a pretty penny." It's not something she would forget anytime soon, especially with a strike coming about. Turning to Joe, a smirk slid up her face when he mentioned Zeke tupping the girls. "Joe, your in the presence of a lady." She laughed and elbowed him lightly. "New boirdies, huh? That's interestin'...." She trailed off, not really wanting to share why she thought it was interesting. It was obvious why new birdies were needed in the first place. (I think we should act like the raise has happened because that's where all the other story lines in the board are at. I mean just let me know if you guys don't want to so I can edit my post.

Scar slipped through the crowd, remaining unnoticed as his gaze fell once again on the girl who had wormed her way into his heart and then decided he wasn't good enough for her. She seemed to be having a grand time with the two guys surrounding her. He ground his teeth and frowned severly, the one had been boxing a moment ago and Fighter seemed to be smiling a bit too much at him. When the other threw his arm around her it took all he had to hold back and not go over there and rip his arm from his body. No, now was not the time, when she least expected it is when he would come for her. That last thought in mind he swung around and walked away from the boxing ring, many thoughts racing through his head.

Zeke watched Fighter and smirked a little before he lifted a brow at Joe, "What? My reputation precedes me again, mate. I'm a good guy aint I? I at least ain't been around the block lately.." Nah, he'd been behaving with this strike coming around, he'd seen the signs and knew it would be less fight money for him as far as newsies went. Also meant that Spot would take action and he'd be a soldier in Conlon's army before long.

Fight watched Zeke quietly her mind momentarily lost as she thought she saw a familiar face in the crowd but quickly dismissed it, there was no way he'd be here. She smiled when Zeke talked about his reputation proceeding him and waited to see what Joe would say about that. It was indeed going to be hard times for awhile but like Spot had said Brooklyn knew how to pull rank and how to take care each other. "I t'ink what you mean to say is you -can- be a good guy." She gave him a wide smile.

Lexi looked around, unsure of exactly where she was and what was going on. She was surrounded by a huge mass of men and a few women who were all screaming towards the center. She tried moving forward to see what was going on and got an elbow in the stomach for her troubles. She gasped and put a hand to her stomach taking a step back. After a moment when she caught her breath her anger ran thick through her body and she stepped forward turning to the side. She pulled her elbow back and jammed the guy in the back. Then she started walking away, not wanting to draw too much attention to herself.

( New Day )
Danny leaned against a stack of crates, holding his cigarette between his lips as he counted the bills in his hand and tucked them in his pocket. Satisfied he took a long drag and sat down, offering a small nod of his head in response to various elated gamblers as they passed by and pat his shoulder in praise for his latest win. He reached up and wiped his lip with the back of his hand, spitting some blood before taking another puff of his cigarette and leaning back into the shade. He hadn't fought for a few months, but with the price hike of newspapers, he figured he'd make the trek to Manhattan and maybe get a warm meal out of it.

Tate would never admit she stopped at the boxing ring on her way home, it might make her job a little bit harder if people knew that she was in the back of the crowd hiding making little swings here and there. She watched the boy go and collapse in the shade and decided to be bold. Why not? Nobody'd swung at her yet.
Making her way over she folded her hands and leaned down to look at him, "That was some hit..." The price hike didn't really effect her any, she wasn't a newsie. "Sure you're alright?" He'd taken it like a champ.

Danny glanced up at the voice, lifting a hand as she approached to attempt to block out the sun. He chuckled lightly and nodded, taking a final drag on his cigarette before flicking it to the ground. "Yeah I'm alright." He found her concern amusing and, though he wouldn't never say so out loud, somewhat endearing. No one ever worried about him, but this girl seemed fairly sincere in her concern.

She smiled when he laughed, she just hoped he wasn't brushing off her concern. People tended to do that to her a lot but he seemed like a nice guy, "It was a neat match to watch. . . Not like that Cooper guy but it was still neat.. You were the surprising under dog, that guy was big.." She didn't mind telling him she'd enjoyed watching him fight. Her Aunt would launch herself into the stars if she knew Tate watched the Boxing matches. But truthfully, she used to go with her Dad all the time.
