"Bear. Da name's Bear."
"Bear." She mumbled over and over, thinking she will be using it a lot more.

Bear smiled that adorable boyish grin again wondering why she was saying his name over and over again. She was a funny girl. He watched as her eyes went wide as she stared at something past Bear. Bear turned around and found himself face to face with a large, muscular Bull.

When Moon's eyes slid over to the Bull, she moved a few steps toward Bear. "Run. Run with me to Queens." She waited a few moments, "NOW!" Grabbing Bear's hand, she started to run down the Brooklyn Bridge in the direction of Queens. As they finally lost the Bull, Moon slowed to a stop....when she did, she saw that Bear twisted his ankle. "Oh! Bear, I am soo sorry, I didn't mean ta. We are in Queens now, so let me carry ya back to da Lodging House, and don't worry, I can carry ya." Moonlight was a pretty fair girl when it came to strength, and she could deffinatly hold Bear. (I'll post at the Queens Lodging House in the Washroom!

*new Day*
Nick stopped halfway over the bridge and turned to looked down over the to the water. Leaning over a bit he watched some of the ships make their way under the bridge. Just then he heard a little plop next to him and looked over to see some fresh bird poop. Looking up he scowled, his nose scrunching up. "hey! watch it"He growled at the bird before moving down and muttering some curse words.

Impatient was taking a trip to Brooklyn after seeing Jib, and she thought the Bridge relaxed her thoughts a lot. Moving a little ways down from the really dirty parts, she breathed in the air of the ocean around her.
As she leanded against the railing, she saw a boy, who looked around her age, maybe a little older. She couldn't tell though. Impatient smiled at him then looked back at the ocean.

Nick noticed a girl looking at him before giving him a smile and turned back to the ocean. "What?"he snapped a bit, before taking a deep breath through his nose to calm himself a bit. He turned back to the water, his gaze every once and awhile looking up whenever he heard any noise coming from the birds above.

Her eyes widened at his rudeness, and she just turned away. Putting her head on top of her arms as they hung over the railing, she looked across the ocean at the sun, it looks beautiful, she kept thinking in her mind.

When she said nothing he gave a firm nod and went back to his previous position. After a few moments he reached into his pockets pulling out a cigarette and some matches. PLacing it between his lips he lit it, stuffing the rest of the matches in his pocekt and taking a long drag, letting the smoke out. He could feel himself relaxing again... much better

Out of the corner of her eye, she could see that he didn't care about what he just did at all. Raising her right eyebrow, she shook her head at his rudeness. Turning herself around, she put her elbows on the railing and leaned her head back, so it just hung in the air. As she did this, she also closed her eyes, listening to all the sounds around her. Talking, walking, the ocean, workers, the boat, and many other things.
Smiling to herself, she was finally relaxed. Not feeling like standing anymore, she sat down against the railings in a certain position so she wouldn't fall. Looking back up at the boy, she had a relaxed face on, and didn't know what was bothering him. "Is somethin' botherin' ya?"

Nick looked over at her. "You're lacking a bit arent ya?"he asked tapping the side of his head. "Slow..."he nodded and rolled his eyes making an obvious jab at her intelligance. He nodded upwards pointing up towards the birds. "Crap everywhere..'he growled and shook his head again> "What do you want?"he brought his gaze back to her.
She had moved from her spot, sitting down so he had to bow his head a little.

(NEW DAY)
Lucky sat on the edge of the bridge at the half way point. Always meet the man half way, she'd felt that in her bones over time. Never take all the steps and if she came half way at some point when Sneaks got back he'd find his way to where she was. She couldn't honestly say that she didn't miss him. Because she did, every day but she also knew that whatever he was doing he was happy doing it. So she wasn't going to hold him back-- washing dishes at Edelweiss meant she had a real job-- but she still hit the track with a sixpence and made a good gamble.
She hummed as she lit her cigarette and let her leg swing back and forth, thinking about what she was doing... why she was even here. But she needed this place like she needed to be loved. What had she told him once? Every girl wants to be the world to someone?
Seemed like another lifetime sometimes. Taking a drag she closed her eyes and blew it out, half way... was always a good place.

*New*
Marzena stood on the promenade of the Brooklyn Bridge with her back to the water and everything else below. She tightened the grip on her jacket to protect her from the cold winter air that nipped at her. The snow from a few nights before was still on the ground, making it harder for her warn boots to keep out the wet and cold. The cold, however, was the last thing on her mind. She thought it ironic that she should be standing between Brooklyn and Manhattan in person and in thought. How long had it been? Probably around 12 years, maybe even longer. Marzena had stopped counting after her third year in Brooklyn. Brooklyn was an ok place, but she missed home, missed her father mostly. She sighed, watching the air exscape her mouth in a white puff, which only reminded her how bad she wanted a cigarette.

*New Day*
Fighter leaned against the rail of the bridge gazing down into the dark murky waters, wondering what it would be like to be sucked beneath the water unable to breath. A bottle dangled in one of her hands and a cigarette in the other, it had clearly been one of those days. Then again Fighter was beginning to feel like it was just gonna be one of those years where life had no upside. That's why she had decided to actively drink it away, at least until her cash ran out. Fighter took a last drag of her cigarette before flicking it towards the water.

Post by Prince on Apr 9, 2009 23:29:38 GMT -5
Prince was coming up on the Brooklyn Bridge with Joe close beside. She figured he was just making sure she made it out of the area safe. In all honesty, Prince never thought that Brooklyn was going to be a big threat, not as big as Manhattan, and now she was going to Manhattan to seek refuge.
The black eye was becoming more prominent now, but her hair was a bit more hidden than it had been a few blocks back. She'd ducked into an alley and adjusted it so that it wouldn't become more of a problem.
She saw Fighter standing on the Bridge. She wondered what Fighter was doing there, or if she had a reason to be, or if she'd just been standing around for a smoke. As they got closer Prince threw up a hand as a wave and a greeting of hello.
(In case you didn't know Joe (Laura) lost their internet, so they're a little slow on posting. Just to let you know!)
