Peem laughed, making a silly face as he thought about the various places they could go. "Choose away, m'love...just make it cheap." He winked good naturedly.

"Molivos?" Daisy suggested, pulling Peem's arm closer as she laughed at his silly face.

Peem nodded. "That sounds good, actually." He squeezed her arm, looking at the flowers. "You think they will last until after we eat, right?" He didn't want to waste his hard earned money on flowers that looked like shite by the time he got them to his mum.

"Aye they will," Daisy said, motioning to the way they were wrapped. "If they don't I'll buy your mother some more," She offered with a teasing smile, reaching for his hand to squeeze his fingers.

Peem shook his head. "No, lass, you won't do that. You need your money." He smiled and kissed her brow. "Now lead me on, why don't you? I'm starved!"

(new day)
Tate was looking for some flowers to take her Aunt, she was close now. She beamed brightly when she saw the perfect combination of colors and flowers. Her Aune Mer used to run a flower shop but she'd grown ill lately-- She picked up the blooms and shoved her nose into them-- "Oh perfect you are!" she was beaming almost. She loved flowers and sweet things-- ahh she still owed Sweets some more sweet buns.

"good eye..'He grinned coming upon the girl with her nose in the assortment of flowers. "Just an admirer or are you buying for someone? or ... possibly to decorate a table top of some sort?"he glanced down at the flowers he was near, the red colors mixed with white as they came out from the centers. This was probably the most colorful shop around... makes sense considering it was a flower shop.

"It's all about gimmick. Most newsies make up stories, but I just like to entertain people. But whatever sales."
"ok" said Hyper nodding her head as if saying i get it.
Hyper was good at lying, but she didn't do it a lot, once she lied to someone and when they figured out that she lied, they never trusted her ever again.

>>>New Day<<<
Z glided down the street looking in at all the shop windows. It was her day off and she didnt much know what to do with herself. She didnt have many friends in New York, scratch that, she didnt have many friends in general. She worked everyday, all day and just didnt have time. Right now she was starving for some light, fun conversation. Looking at the flowers she brushed back her hair and bent to smell them. Their smell made her close her eyes in wonder and appreciation. She smiled peacefully and enjoyed the fragrance, the flowers and the warm sun. Beautiful.

Reeves was done with his job for the day and wandering the city. One thought plagued his mind: It was his older sister's birthday and he needed to get her a present, a problem when he had a bad day and got no tips!
He walked down the line of small shops, but wasn't seeing anything good enough for his sister, the only good things he couldn't afford. He sighed and wandered into the flower shop, everybody loved flowers? didn't they?
He saw a pretty rose up ahead, and fingered it, he didn't know much about flowers, but he thought if there was a showcase of flowers, this would be in the top ten. He yelped and jumped back as something pricked his fingers. He looked at the flower closer and saw the thorns and scowled. He forgot that roses had thorns. He leaned in to sniff the flower and then his nose twitched and he sneezed loudly. Flowers just weren't Reeves' thing.

"Careful Love" Z smiled kindly as she took his hand and wrapped her handkerchief around his finger. "Not all roses have sharp thorns." She smiled beautifully at him and gave him a lily from another bin.
"Here these wont hurt you at all, though they have a threatening name, Tiger lilies." She smiled, paid for the flower and ran her hands through the rest of them. Stopping to smell them here and there as she made her way down the sidewalk, reluctant to continue on her way.

He took the flower she had just gave him, a surprised look on his face. She bought the flower for him, and then she smiled at him one last time and started to continue on her way. Reeves thought she was very kind, he wondered if she was so sisterly to everybody she met.
He stared at the flower again and then found himself following her.
"Hey wait, thank you miss." He said catching up and showing her his gratefulness.

*New Day*
Devonney walked amongst the little huddled rows of flowers, stopping to let her fingers linger on the petals here and there or pausing to breathe in the beautiful scent. She wore a pretty pale green dress that had slightly puffy sleeves, nothing too fancy, but still eloquent and prim at the same time, tighter around the waist and flowy at the bottom. Her hair was free and in curls, wisps dancing around her face, her light teal eyes bright. She had slipped away to go to the flower shop while her stepmother and the maids helping her were shopping at Hattie's.
She liked Morris Park, it was a lively place, new things to see, people to meet. Besides Pelham Bay Park, it was one of the places she visited the most in the Bronx. She was walking along the flowers, thinking how she would like to have some Peonies in the garden this time of year, when her dress caught on the corner of a flower crate. She felt the tug and turned, in the process getting off balance and she started to fall forward, slightly tangled in the folds of her skirt.

Post by Lord Byron Hastings on Jun 1, 2009 22:00:09 GMT -5
Byron walked past several crates of flowers. He was dressed in his usual dark gray pants, white pin-striped button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up just above his elbow, a light blue-grey vest, and had his journal tucked under his left arm.
Byron had stopped in the flower shop to pick up a lily for Pallet. She wanted to do a new painting and she had to have a lily but was too busy to go get one, so he told her he'd pick one up for her. As he was looking at the different colored lilies in a crate, trying to decide which color Pallet would want, he caught some movement out of the corner of his eye. What he saw was a girl, walking through the crates of flowers, clearly enjoying herself. Byron smiled, remembering how his mother had the same look on her face whenever she was in her garden. Suddenly, he saw the look on her face change when her dress caught on the corner of a flower crate. He edged towards her to help her get it unstuck, but then saw her slowly loose her balance when she turned and she started to fall forward. Not even thinking twice about it, Byron rushed over to her as quick as he could and caught her just before she hit the ground. In his English accent, he asked, "Are you okay, Ma'am?" He loosened her skirt free from the crate and helped her stand back up.

"Are you okay, Ma'am?"
Once Devonney was pulled back to stand on her feet, she took a moment to catch her breath, nodding her head before gasping, "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you." She looked down at a little tear in her dress and just smiled in slight annoyance at nobody but herself. She didn't care about the dress, but her stepmother would. She was always getting into incidents like this.
"I really should look where I'm going more often, shouldn't I?" She asked with a small laugh and a smile, her breath more steady now. "Thank you again Sir..." She trailed off, not knowing what to call him, before biting her lip and laughing again. Oh she was quite a wreck.
