She lifted a brow and looked down at Jo, rolling her eyes when he kissed her cheek She was so damn used to it that she just brushed it off more often then let it ruffle her cool. Lucky was just like that-- cool as a cucumber unless he was angry or worried then she was all fire.
"I could soak ya to the middle of next week," she replied flippantly, a smug smirk lighting her actually gentle features. Lucky was a snarky little thing and at times she had a little to much bite. But Joe was a friend, and she was still sitting on him. "Dont' dump me to the floor, your taken up the whole couch.." Warm Beer wasn't her think, she was a whiskey girl

I could soak ya to the middle of next week
Joe smirked and made to dump her on the floor for her sass. "But ya wouldnt ya love me face to much." He drawled
Dont' dump me to the floor, your taken up the whole couch..
Joe just laughed and relaxed further in his position. "Dere's othah seats heah ya know." He shrugged and swallowed the rest of the beer in one swig. Room temperature could be worse. He thought to himself. "Pick a chair any chair"

"But this chair suits me just fine," she said rather sardonically as she let out a sigh, settling comfortably against the back of the couch, her hands fumbled over him to find his smokes before she let out a breath. "I wish Sneaks was around, I mean--" she looked lonely but she worked through it. Lucky didn't ever let much get her down.

"Talk to me Lucks." Joe said, his voice soothing, the hat still over his eyes. He knew by experience that people would talk more if they didnt have to look you in the eye. And he knew Lucky pretty well too. "From where i sit, I'm not goin anywheah foah awhile." he handed over his cigarette and left it up to her.

She took the smoke and a long drag, "You know-- we met playin' cards. A gypsy introduced us.." she missed that gypsy girl, had help her connect. Sighing she leaned back. "I fell in love all in one night and it hasn't changed. If anything I love the bloke more.." what was she going to do?

Danny slowly strode down the stairs, patting his pocket distractedly as he searched for a smoke. Arriving at the last step he glanced up, having finally found a cigarette and tucking it behind his ear for easy access. The open room was nearly empty, with the only occupants sitting together on the couch.
"I fell in love all in one night and it hasn't changed. If anything I love the bloke more.."
Danny didn't have to hear any more. He'd stepped into a serious conversation that was none of his business. With his idea of relaxing in the nearby chair shot, he attempted to move quickly for the door and avoid any awkward questions about what he had heard.

Lucky was off of Joe and on Danny's back in an instant, knocking him to the ground and sitting on his back. A small snarl and smile on her face as she leaned over, "Hey Danny Boy.." she was a feisty little thing, and it hadn't changed one bit.

The moment he heard the footsteps behind him he knew what was coming. Before he had a chance to brace himself her weight on his back forced him forward just fast enough to prevent him from regaining his balance. He grinned, and with half his face pressed against the dusty floor it was no easy feat. "Well heya Lucky."

"And what brings my favorite Scot into the room today?" she loved Danny really but this was kind of torture for seeing her in a moment of weakness. She had days when she didn't want that, and today was one of those days.

Joe smirked as Lucky launched herself at Danny and unfolded himself off the couch. "Och lass youah gonna kill Danny Boy heah with youah big arse." He offered his hand to her not really expecting her to take it.

Danny rolled to his back and sat up, grabbing his hat that had fallen off in the process and dusting it off with a few pats on his knee. "Oh I dunno Lucky, I tend to find the bunks pretty useless outside of sleepin'." He smirked and gave her a small shove, moving her just enough out of the way to take the hand Joe had offered her and use it to hoist himself up.

"Big ass!?" she scoffed and hit the ground with a thunk, giving Danny a good kick in the back of the leg before getting up on her own power and slinging an arm around Danny's shoulders. "Aww.... no dame for you Danny boy? I thought you were running with that crazy little bubbly thing from the Bronx.." she let him go and sat back on the couch, bracing her hands behind her head.

Danny glanced over at her and raised an eyebrow. Brooklyn girl's flippant attitude toward anything immoral never ceased to amaze him, and though he didn't show it, he felt slightly offended by the implications being made about Tate. He would never bring her around his coarse friends. He followed Lucky over to the couch, taking a seat in the nearby chair and sighing contentedly as he pulled out a smoke. "She's just a friend Lucky."

Joe pulled Danny to his feet.
"Ack dont mind da lass heah." Joe smirked at Danny before he followed Lucky and laid back down on the couch this time his head on Lucky's legs. "She's just jealous dat youse got friends and she dont."
He struck a match on the floor and lit 2 cigarettes handing one to Lucky and offering the other to Danny. He kicked out a chair with his foot towards Danny. "How's da change in youah pockets?" He asked taking a drag from the bottle on the ground.

Lucky gave Danny a serious look, as she considered how he processed the information.
"She's just a friend Lucky."
Well that wasn't at all what she suspected but she sensed the protectiveness in his voice so she let it drop, it really wasn't for her to pry into his social life at all no matter how close they all were. Everyone had a right to their privacy. And if Danny wasn't chasing that bakery girl's tail then maybe the soft and bubbly wasn't his type-- or he didn't have a type. That was something to think about.
"She's just jealous dat youse got friends and she dont."
Lucky grabbed his nose and squeezed it, "I've got plenty a friends, Joe and you happen ta be one of them.. what does that say about my standards?" she smirked and let his nose go before she leaned back. "He's got a point, Dan-- how's the sellin racket?" Since Lucky actually had a job that had nothing to do with papes.
