Twich ran his hand through his hair as he eyed the plump fruits. The looked sooo good. He stomach growled and he placed his hand on it to quiet it. He closed his eyes and placed his hand inside his pocket, hoping for the best, but of course he already knew the results. He sighed, he had no money. He took another look at the fruit. He had not eaten in two days. casually, he picked up an Apple form the stand and placed it in his pocket. He scanned the crowed to make sure no one had seen him. He was almost positive no one had. He sighed with a grin on his face and a sense of accomplishment. He cocked his eye brow and started to turn and go.

Impatient was just leaving Brooklyn from the races that day. She did see Race, and he asked if she wanted to walk home with him, but she declined politely, knowing that if she had just said no without and explanation, it would've hurt Race's feelings, and she didn't want that at all. The races were pretty good, and she even won some money. Impy wasn't a very good person around boys, and she just saw one right then and there who looked like a newsie as well. She breathed in a sharp breath, and her eyes widened as she began walking quickly, trying to walk away. But, Impatient being as clumsy as she is, tripped over her own feet and landed on her front side.

Twich touched his head to his chin as he turned to leave. The bright red apple in his pocket. Quickly, he looked up, but it was already to late. He had run right into the girl. "Oh, s-s-sorry, I uh...um." He offered his hand, looked at the dirt on it, and pulled it back again, ashamed. "Are y-y-you OK?" he asked as he studied the girl, memorizing her features. Twich licked his lips nervously and crammed his hands in his pockets before looking up nervously. Twich was not a people person.

"Are y-y-you OK?"
Impatient looked up at the boy and blushed a deep red, hoping he hadn't seen her blushing. She licked her lips and smiled softly at him after hearing him stutter. Anyone could take a wild guess at what his name was. It probably wasn't that hard. "Yes, I'm fine. And it's alright, I- I should've been paying more...more attention," Impy commented to him, still embarrassed.

"N-n-no, no it was my f-f-fault" he said softly, dusting of his pants with the backs of his hands. "Um," he wasn't really sure of what to say. He decided on the obvious, "My n-n-names T-t-twich" he said as he cocked his head. Twich wrinkled his brow, "And y-y-you are?" he asked her kindly, noticing her cheeks beginning to turn red.

"My n-n-names T-t-twich"
Impatient stood up and felt more confident since she wasn't really the one who was that embarrassed. He seemed more embarrassed then she is. "It's nice to meet you, Twich."
"And y-y-you are?"
"I'm Impatient. Or you can call me Impy," So, they both had pretty weird names. This meant she didn't need to be embarrassed even more about her name.

[New Day]
Daisy had woke up that morning with the desire to bake, which happened often, and so she had readied herself and walked down to the fruit vendor on Kings Highway to see if he'd gotten anything particularly fresh in. The apples looked good but she was debating the peaches as well, thinking it might be the last she could manage a peach pie before summer gave way to fall and icy cold winter. She briefly wondered what Jerry might like, or even his brother since he'd mentioned Jensen having such a fondness for it, but brushed the thought aside. She'd be starry-eyed and dreamy since the night she'd met the handsome writer but it was high time she pulled herself together...at least a little.
Humming softly to herself, Daisy picked up an apple and examined it, biting her lip as she looked back at the peaches, debating the merits of each fruit before setting the apple back down and reaching for a peach. She had plenty of flour and sugar stored up at home and a peach pie might be just the right thing for the autumn days ahead. With her decision made, she reached for a few more and put them into her basket with a smile.

Fighter hummed quietly to herself as she approached the vendor. She'd worked yesterday so she had enough money for food today. With all the time she'd spent with David lately she had been running a little to low and had skipped a few too many meals. Approaching the vendor she handed him some money and grabbed a couple, sticking one in her pocket.
Glancing over she noticed a girl who she knew worked at McGinty's but she couldn't remember her name. She gave her a smile, "Nice day..." She trailed off not really sure what to say to her but wanting to talk with someone. Most of the people in Brooklyn were sticking to themselves these days and she hadn't had much interaction apart from her time with Davey.

Daisy looked up when the girl spoke, recognizing her as a McGinty's regular and smiled when she spoke in greeting, a rarity from any of the Brooklynites on even the best days. "Aye it tis," Daisy said with a nod and cheerful smile, looking down at her basket again. "Do you think a peach pie would be good this time of year? Or would you think one would prefer apple? I simply can't decide and if I stand here debating any longer I just might rotate the fruit out of my basket another twelve times."
She figured an outside opinion couldn't hurt, especially since some especially red apples had caught her eye and had her rethinking her decision entirely.

Raising an eyebrow, Fight shrugged, "I wouldn't be the person to ask, don't eat much pie. The apples look good though." She was trying to converse but she honestly couldn't answer her question. She never baked and she rarely ate stuff like that.

"Okay," Daisy said smiling brightly and reaching into her basket and unloading the peaches. "Apples it is then!" She added enough to her basket before turning and looking at the girl, giving her a smaller smile. "Thank you, I can be a bit indecisive sometimes..." She drifted a little when she realized she had started to babble and turned to count out some money to the vendor before turning back to the girl. "I recognize you...you come into McGinty's real regular, aye?"

Fight smirked at Daisy's pleasant disposition, it wasn't one you usually found in someone from Brooklyn. She nodded her head briefly to the girls question and took a bite out of her apple. After she swallowed she offered the girl a slight smile, "Fighter...you work there right?" She knew she did, Fight never forgot a face but figured she'd ask anyway.

"Aye," Daisy said with a nod and another smile, watching as Fighter took a bite into her apple. "I'm Daisy, I knew I had seen you before. You're usually with Lucky," Daisy said, remembering the few times she'd seen Fighter tagging along with Lucky, Daisy's...well Daisy would call her a friend but she had no idea what Lucky would call her. "You off somewhere on this beautiful day?"

Fight nodded her head, "Yeah I am." And if she wasn't with Lucky it would be Smalls or Joe. Thinking of Joe made her miss him a bit, she hadn't seen him in awhile and he was one of the people she was really close with at the house. He could read her so well and although part of her resented that another part was completely grateful. He knew what she needed without her having to say anything. Fighter brushed her thoughts of him off, she may not have seen him in awhile but she'd heard he was around. Fighter gave Daisy a shrug, "Nowhere in particular right now, just enjoying the day." Later she would be heading to work again but she just wanted to enjoy the sun right now.
