TOP TO BOTTOM
Fighter: *is sitting at a corner table in the back, sipping on a beer*
Banshee: *is sitting across from her, sipping on his own beer and somewhat enjoying the lack of conversation*
Fighter: *has never been a huge talker, so appreciates it as much as he does*
Banshee: *takes out a cigarette and lights it**glances around the nearly empty room with a bored roll of his eyes**likes it better when there are people to watch*
Fighter: *is relieved jewel isn't here now* Won a bit of money at the boxing ring. *smirks* *is bragging, yes*
Banshee: *realizes that sometimes no people is a good thing**takes a drag from cig and exhales slowly**raises brow* Oh yeah? *interested*
Fighter: *smirks* Yeah. *wins most of the bets she makes at the ring* *knows the fighters well enough to judge who will win*
Banshee: *chuckles* Bit pleased wit' yourself, yeah? *shrugs and sips beer* Been meanin' t' get over there.... No' seen a good fight in awhile.
Fighter: Just a bit. *grins* *raises her glass to her lips again* I'm there most days when I'm not working. *or with Davey*
Banshee: *nods* Might see ya that way, then. *grins* Maybe win a bit myself, if I'm lucky... *thinks here lately luck has been hiding, but remains somewhat optomistic on its eventual return*
Fighter: *chuckles* You could use some luck. *absently takes a drag of her cigg*
Banshee: *snorts* Aye, that's true enough.... *takes a long drink**shrugs with a little grin* Can't be lucky all the time though, an' I've had my fair share o' it.
Fighter: Not lately. *smirks* *finishes her cigg and drops the butt on the ground*
Banshee: *rolls his eyes but as he knows she's right, can't argue* Bound t' turn soon... Lucky streaks don't last forever, be they good or bad. *finishes own cigg and drops butt to join hers*
Fighter: *nods* Very true..hope my lucky streak holds out. *doesn't even take the fight she got into as bad luck, she did afterall beat the crap out of someone and come away fairly unscathed*
Banshee: *tips glass in her direction* Here's t' hopin' the good streaks always last longer than the bad *finishes drink and motions for another round*
Fighter: *smirks and lifts her drink as well before finishing it*
Banshee: *pushes new drink towards her* So how's things been wit' ya, anyway? *noticed that she'd not been around much, not that he was looking, more casual observation*
Fighter: *shrugs* Can't complain...been in Manhattan recently. *or for the last few months* And you?
Banshee: *smirks* Tried goin' int' 'hattan the other day.... Got...sidetracked *wishes he would have tried heading to Queens that day instead* No' t' bad, though, all in all...Little quiet, but.. *shrugs*
Fighter: Quiets better then some other things...*smirks* Sidetracked? *quirks an eyebrow*
Banshee: *chuckles* More like waylaid... *shakes head* Got sorted though, hopefully for good. *takes drink**wonders why some girls are so damn insane*
Fighter: *nods her head* Ah...the little twit? *smirks* Been awhile since I ran into a chit like that.
Banshee: *smirks* Yeah? Wish I could say the same! *chuckles a bit and toys with his glass*
Fighter: You get stalkers like her often? *waggles her eyebrows* Flock to you like bees to honey.
Banshee: *grins* No' usually, no.... No' stalkers anyway....*shrugs* Actions been a bit slow on all fronts, here lately, actually
Fighter: *smiles* Well good luck with no more stalkers...*chuckles* *they really all do end up with one at one point or another* *least jewel isn't especially dangerous*
Banshee: Thanks *rolls eyes* Any stalkers o' your own, then?
Fighter: None you need to worry yoru pretty head about. *smirks* *doesn't talk about scar...birdie knows and joe had an idea but she'd prefer to act as if he doesn't exist*
Banshee: *raises an eybrow, but just shrugs* Long as ya ain't worryin' your own pretty head.....*thinks there might be a story, but not going to push it*
Fighter: Never...*at least not when she didn't think about him* *takes a sip of her drink*
Banshee: *finishes off his drink* Thinkin' I might head back soon... Maybe find a nice, non-stalkin' type t' pass a bit o' time wit' on the way, yeah? *smirks*
Fighter: *chuckles* You do that. *shakes her head at him* *would like to go find davey but figures he's with his family*
Banshee: *stands* Ya stayin', then? Could always walk back wit' me an' keep me safe from the wrong sorts...*smirks**doubts he'll find a girl this late anyway and doesn't mind her company*
Fighter: *shakes her head* I'll stay a bit longer. *hadn't been going back to the house until she knew everyone would be asleep* *was avoiding some of the otherss* I'm sure you can handle it. *smirks*
Banshee: *nods* Right, then *not surprised that she wasn't ready to head back, but figured he'd offer just in case**smirks* I'll do my best.*winks* Take care, Fight... See ya around
Fighter: You too. *nods and smirks*
Daisy: *walks inside and looks around, wanders over to counter and orders a bite to eat* *smiles at girl sitting at the bar*
Fighter: *sends a small smile daisy's way* *has seen her at mcginty's but never talked to her much*
Daisy: *Fighter looks familiar to her but she doesn't know her name* Hello! How are you? I know I've seen you around McGinty's but I"m sorry I don't know your name. I'm Daisy
Fighter: *smirks* Fight. *nods* Yeah, you work there right? *shrugs* Fine, you?
Daisy: I do yes. Most nights anyway, I see you there a lot with Lucky. *realizes she's babbling and lapses into silence*
Fighter: *nods again* Yeah, we live at the lodging house together.
Daisy: Oh you're a newsie then. *smiles brightly* I have a little apartment over on King's Highway, I keep meaning to walk over and see Lucky. She seemed...unsettled the last time I saw her
Fighter: I work in a bar, actually..*smiles* Yeah she has a bit of a problem she needs to take care of.
Daisy: Oh? Which bar? *feels bad that she made an incorrect assumption* She was trying to explain it all to me before but I only got bits and pieces. I hope she's alright
Fighter: Riley's...some hole in the wall in Greenpoint. *smirks* She'll be fine I wager...she's caught between two guys.
Daisy: Lucky always manages to land on her feet, I've noticed. *winces a little at Fight's explanation* Oh...ouch. That can be a troublesome spot to be sure.
Fighter: I'm sure she'll figure it out. *didn't get in her friends business*
Daisy: I'm sure she will *smiles as her food is placed in front of her* *hopes Fighter doesn't mind a little conversation* You've been in New York long then?
Fighter: Most of my life. *smiles* Spent the first few years in Philadelphia before I moved in with my uncle in Brooklyn.
Daisy: I've only been here a few years myself, came over from Ireland. *takes a bite of her sandwich* I wasn't sure I would like it here...but I do
Fighter: *smiles* Has a way of feeling home, doesn't it?
Dodger: *slips in and wraps his arms around Daisy, lifting her up* My Irish love! *kisses her hceeks and looks at Figher* Lo, Fight.
Daisy: *gasps in surprise when she feels arms and then laughs realizing it's Dodger* Dodger! how have you been?? *hugs him tight*
Fighter: *smirks*
Fighter: Dodge. *nods*
Dodger: *practically laying on Daisy and kisses her cheeks again, missed the girl* Heard you Brooklynites been having a problem with a new transfer..
Daisy: *has missed her friend as well* Can I get you something Dodger? *to Fighter* It does have a way of feeling like home after a time, any place does with the right trappings, I suppose
Fighter: Problems? I thought it was pretty fun breaking her face. *grins*
Dodger: *smirks at her* Aye.. problems..
Dodger: I've had a few people come ta me complainin about this little eejit..*sighs* my Lexi's got to big a heart-- *isn't nearly as nice*
Fighter: *shrugs* She'll learn soon enough she made a mistake. *glances towards the entrance* Speak of the devil.
Lexi: *wonders in* *in need of a drink after all of the issues that arose with the new girl*
Daisy: But I don't mind, honest *already eyeing the glasses behind the bar and thinking she could put in a word with cook* *smiles as a new girl walks in* Hello!
Lexi: *sends a smile at Daisy when she says hello* Hi. *eyes land on dodger* *her smile widens* Hey.
Dodger Ah! Daisy love you haven't met Lexi yet?
Dodger *motions her over
Lexi: *walks over, taking a seat by Dodger* Daisy? *smiles*
Daisy: I haven't had the pleasure of meeting your Lexi just yet. *turns to smile wider at Lexi* yes, I'm Daisy
Fighter: *wonders over to a back table* *doesn't need to be around the crowd right now*
Lexi: Nice to meet you.
Daisy: Same to you, what can I get you? Dodger says I'm not on duty but I already know where everything is and it's no trouble
Dodger *tosses an arm around Daisy* This is the sweetest flower Ireland has ever created, Lexi love.. *pulls a seat out for Lexi to sit*
Dodger Didja have to bring a munter home? Emma was on the war path
Daisy: *blushing* And now you're just sweet talking me Dodger
Dodger *beams at her-- is good like that*
Lexi: *sits in the offered chair and laughs at dodgers words* A pint would be nice. *turns to Dodger* Jewel? *shrugs* She's mostly harmless...*eyes dart towards fight* If I were her I'd be staying in my bunk.
Lexi: *at least til she healed*
Dodger *counts on his fingers* Birdie, Hawkeye, Emma-- least Conlon doesn't care at the moment.. *sighs* Bloody bint is makin my life hard..
Daisy: Coming right up then! *hurries behind the bar to fill Lexi's order and returns a moment later*
Bridgette *comes in from the back and swats at Daisy's hand* O'Connell.. you are on BREAK.. ya know what that means...
Lexi: Only Emma lives in the Bronx. I'll talk to her and tell her it'd be in her best interest to stay in the borough. *shrugs* Besides she got pretty worked over so maybe she learned a lesson or two.
Dodger wish she'd learned quicker *muttering and runs his hands over his face, tucks an arm around Lexi* You've got a good heart, love... I'd have let the Brooks kids have her...
Lexi: *leans against dodger* I can hardly let them kill her. *smiles* *doubts they would kill her, but she'd probably end up with a lot more broken bones*
Dodger *no really thinks they will kill her... * You didn't hear bout Birdie and Hawkeye, apparently she said she didn't go to Brooklyn, though was on the Brooklyn Bridge... after being in Queens..
Daisy: *to Bridgette* It's just a drink, I can get it!
Bridgette *takes the glasses form her* one drink you don' need ta be servin... sit down with your friends lass
Daisy: Fine, fine *smiles at Bridgette* Thank you, lass *settles into chair beside Dodger
Bridgette: *beams and brings over drinks, setting them down* Lo all.. where'd Fighter go? I owe the lass a shot or two for the fight the other night
Dodger *ruffles Daisy's hair absently*
Dodger: Daisy love all of New York is goin' ta hell in a handbasket becuase of this mangy munter..
Lexi: *sighs* *doesn't even really want to talk about Jewel* If you want her to leave then I will ask her to.
Fighter: *smirks from her seat in the corner* I could use another drink.
Daisy: I find that difficult to believe *smiling at Dodger* it takes a little more than one troublesome lass to bring down this city
Bridgette: *bounds over and pours fighter a shot* That's for entertainin Shan an' I the other night, lass..
Fighter: My pleasure. *smirks* *raises the shot to her lips and tosses it back*
Dodger: *kisses Lexi's hair* Don't worry about it love... other fish to fiy, aye?
Bridgette: *turns back to the rest of the room and goes to get drink orders*
Lexi: *offers dodger a large smile before sipping at her beer*
Dodger: *wraps arms around Lexi and snorts* First time I've seen you in a week, love and I don't even get a kiss--- what a bloody country it is..
Lexi: *tilts her head to look up at Dodger* Oh, is that what you were looking for? *smiles innocently*
Dodger: I'm a simple man.... *smirks at her*
Bridgette: *rolls her eyes and leans on her elbows by Daisy*
Daisy: *smiling at Bridgette* They're sweet, don't you think? *enjoys seeing her friends happy*
Lexi: *grins cheekily* Too bad..I would kiss you but your breath is awful. *turns back to her drink and lifts it to her lips*
Fighter: *rolls her eyes* *thank god she isn't that mushy with davey* *at least not in public*
Bridgette: *chuckles and wraps her arms around Daisy's shoulders* makes me jealous..
Dodger: *laughs and tips her back into his lap, makes faces at her*
Daisy: *gives Bridgette's arm a little squeeze* You'll find a good man in time, Bridge, I just know it!
Bridgette: *laughs* Ach Lass they'd have ta get through Sean first *winks at her* you know how Seany boy is..
Lexi: *laughs* *puts her beer back on the table and lifts her head a bit to kiss him lightly*
Daisy: True enough, though between you and Shan he does tend to have his hands full *grins at the thought of wrangling the two irish girls*
Dodger: *kises her back happily, win.. just win*
Bridgette: Well seein' how he'd like to have his hands full with Shan in other ways but is to much a git to mention it... I'd say that if I hook them up propper I'll have more time to meself
Daisy: *arches eyebrow in surprise* Would he now? *considers for a moment* He does have a way at looking at her...
Lexi: *pulls away and relaxes in her seat* *it was nice to spend some time with Dodger*
Bridgette: *can't sit-- is on duty so just stands there* Tis what it is... no complaints
Dodger: *smirks a bit, thinks it's pretty good himself*
Dodger: *sighs* need to go strangle Lefty.... Reid's been round mostly entertaining Emma.. River's in a state..
Lexi: *laughs* And why are you going to strangle Lefty? *smiles at the mention of her brother* Entertaining Emma, huh? *frowns at his last statement* What's wrong with him?
Dodger: *smirks a bit and decides to answer the last* Ace has got eyes on his dame.. makes him angry
Lexi: *sighs* What a shame...he isn't going to do anything stupid is he? *like kill him*
Dodger: Workin on calmin him down-- but I think he's been talked down a bit
Lexi: Good. Though I'd hit him. *Ace, not River* *would also hit any girl who made eyes at dodger*
Dodger: *pets Lexi* Ace and Lucks were attached like limbs, inseperable when we were young...but I think things changed...
Lexi: *slaps his hand away gently* *is not an animal* They'll sort things out...Rivers been different since he's been with her, I don't think he'll let her go easily.
Dodger: *smirks at her* Aye, Miranda the same-- settled down a bit, seemed, happy almost
Lexi: *doesn't really know lucky like that* Good. *smiles* *takes another sip from her pint* *sets her hand on his thigh* Missed you. *quietly*
Dodger: *raises a brow, smirks a bit* missed you too, love... both been busy
Lexi: *grins* Yes, it's very tiring taking care of girls with broken noses who are bloodied and bruised. *at least she hadn't been overly whiney*
Dodger: *chuckles and hugs her closed against his chest, snorts* When it's deserved I'd let her take care of herself--- but I've had Emma to deal with..
Lexi: *laughs* I was wondering where she'd been off to. *lays her head against his chest* I didn't want her bleeding all over. *would have to clean that up* *gross*
Dodger: *smirks a bit and leans his face against her hair* Could let her bleed over the drain... 'swat my mum would say.
Lexi: *pokes him the side before laughing* I could...guess it's just those mothering habits back in full force. *smiles slightly* Though neither of the boys were ever coming home looking like that.
Dodger: *laughs a bit and catches her finger* ... well Reid's far to busy talkin his way under Rori's skirt
Lexi: *raises her head giving Dodger a disgusted look* Do you have to say things like that? *pouts*
Dodger: *laughs* What?
Lexi: He's my little brother. *pouts more* I feel sick.
Dodger: I can kiss and make it better.. *smirking-- yeah dodge telling your girlfriend her little brother is getting laid is not cool*
Lexi: Hardly think that'll make it better. You think to highly of your kisses. *smirks at him* *loves his kisses in fact but he already has a huge ego...no reason to boost it*
Jewel: *enters* Uhhhh...Hello? I hope I'm not interrupting anything here/ *To Lexi* Hi Lexi.
Dodger: *such a big ego, raises a brow at Jewel wonders who the hell she is*
Jewel: *catches Dodger's look at her* *Smiles* Um Hello there
Lexi: *raises her eyes* *bites back a sigh* *doesn't get much alone time with Dodger* Jewel...shouldn't you be resting? Is it a good idea for you to be here? *moves her eyes to where fight sits in the corner*
Fighter *is ignoring the silly little chit and enjoying her drink*
Jewel: I got a little bored, Lexi. I decided to come here, and just get a drink.
Dodger: .... are yous tupid this is Brooklyn. Go home.
Lexi: *glances at Dodger, silently thanking him* *raises her pint again, taking a large swallow*
Dodger: *gives her a light squeeze since he's holding her, looking pointedly at Jewel*
Jewel: *hangs head down* *sadly* I'm not stupid.
Lexi: Jewel...*pushes her chair back, standing* You should go home. Being in Brooklyn will bring you nothing but trouble. *walks over and places a light hand on her shoulder* *offers her a smile*
Jewel: *looks at Lexi sadly, tears flowing from her 'good eye'* Okay...I'm sorry to have bothered you. I just wanted to have someone to talk to. But I guess I'll see ya back at the Lodging House.
Lexi: *nods* I'll be back later. *removes her hand from Jewels shoulder and goes back to sit with Dodger* *finishes her pint and motions for another*
Jewel: *leaves and lights up a cigarette as she walks out*
Dodger: *rolls his eyes and runs his hand throug his hair* Fuck sakes, Lexi..
Lexi: *sighs in relief, glad the brooklyn girl had barely noticed jewel* *chews her lower lip thoughtfully before dodgers words snap her back to attention* What? *asks innocently*
Dodger: *kisses her neck gently* Nothing.. just-- eedgit..
Lexi: *smiles up at him when he kisses her neck* *pulls away slightly after he speaks* Did you just call me an eedgit?
Dodger: *motions to girl that just left* Gah no..
Lexi: *smiles* Good, I'd hate to have to bring out the claws. *is joking* *raises her hand to lightly brush her fingers through his hair* She's a handful. *really feels like jewel means well though, just doesn't go about things in the right way*
Dodger: *sighs* I have never kicked anyoen out of the Bronx.. *hell never had to msot people aren't so out of place in the city*
Lexi: *smiles* If it comes to that, I"ll do it. *asked her to stay after all* *leans up and places a light kiss at the corner of his mouth* Don't worry about it.
Dodger: *lips curve* me worry? kiddin are you love?
Lexi: Maybe...*smiles* *maybe not* *raises her fresh beer to her lips taking a sip*
Dodger: *worries all the damn time, takes a drink of his beer*
Lexi: *he's going to go grey early* *lets her hand rest on his forearm* I'll take care of any Jewel related problems. *it was her job to deal with the females anyway*
Dodger: *sighs* Aye love *kisses her gently*
Lexi: *smiles* How about you walk me home and I see what I can do about easing your stress. *smirks ever so slightly*
Dodger: *beams at her and edges up with her in his lap* come on love... I like this plan.
Lexi: *laughs and stands, dropping a bit of money on the table to cover her drinks* Me too. *leans up on her tiptoes to place a light kiss on his chin..since she can't quite reach his lips*
Dodger: *steals his girl out*
