Newsie Name: Cap'n
History: Cap'n was the leader of a small group of California newsies, carryin' da bannah all throughout the growing city of Los Angeles. With her best friend, Giggles, Cap'n sneaked onto a passenger train headed towards New York. The two friends have always wanted to visit this big city and to meet up with their pal, Tum Tum, from the Bronx. Orphaned at a young age, Cap'n has very fond memories of her parents before they perished in a fire. Cap'n gets her newsies name from the string of beads dangling underneath her well-worn newsboy cap. When she and Giggles were kids, they would play down by the ocean, pretending to be Caribbean pirates. Cap'n has always been fascinated by the ideal of pirating and has taken to learning as much as she could. She has a certain affection for one pirate captain in particular from one of her favorite pirate BOOKS (yes i know Potc has nothing to do with Newsies but he is just an inspiration... Captain Jack Sparrow)
Personality: As the former leader of the California girl newsies, Cap'n is pretty tough and independent. She can take charge when needed and generally gets along with others. She is friendly to most people but if you cross her she will seek revenge.
