ZORANA STEPHINE FERGUSON
NAME:Zorana Stephine Ferguson
NICKNAME:Zoo
AGE:22
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN:Boston,United StatesPERSONALITY
Zorandra didn’t have to work too hard to get the nickname of “Zoo”. Growing up with a younger brother and older brother meant living in a boys world, and a girl’s gotta learn to keep up. Zoo has a lot of energy, unlike some of her burned out peers. There was never a dare that she didn’t accept. Embarrassment is an absent trait in Zoo (for the most part). Even though she has tried to grow up and act her age, that wild side is never far away, as noted by her impulsive nature.
Though her manners are spot on and her morals are sound, Zoo can get an attitude toward something, or someone, she doesn’t like pretty fast. Not a grudge, per say, or even enemy, but let’s just say a smile would be hard to conjure up. And…well…ok, she has been known for the occasional mean streak, but only when people deserve it.
For the most part, Zoo is a fantastic companion, friend, and confidant. She tends to bear other’s burdens a little more than expected, but it’s never a heavy burden from her view. She cares more about other’s well being than her own, and her impulsive nature isn’t directed as much toward herself as it is toward doing whatever it takes for the loved ones. It can get to her on darker nights, but she always remembers that the sun comes up. Well, that and a cigarette help.
And, don’t give her the lecture on singing and smoking. She’ll just roll her eyes.HISTORY
Zorana was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Lawrence Ferguson and Emeline Devayo. Lawrence earned his stripes at only seventeen during the Battle of Gettysburg. After he recovered miraculously from his gunshot wound, he went North to try and find his family in . Before he arrived though, he met Emeline, the heiress to a large fortune, and to make a long story short, they were married within four months. They made their new start in Boston. Lawrence never did go home.
Instead, he decided to start his own family. When he was twenty nine and Emeline was thirty, they had Arthur, and two years later Zorana was born. Benjamin, the youngest, was introduced to the family when Zorana was two. For the most part, the family was happy. Lawrence announced his opinions on politics and Emeline knitted on the rocking chair. They were modest about money, choosing to live in the city and devote money to charity. Lawrence had a drinking problem, but he never entered the house until he was sober.
At twenty, Zoo had departed from Boston to go to New York and attend the Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing, Florence Nightingale being one of her heroes. However, she quickly returned to Boston after only a year when she was informed that her brothers were both planning on joining the army to fight in the Spanish American War. The once quiet, simple home had been turned upside down by this idea. Lawrence didn’t want to see his son’s killed, finally realizing the pain he must have put his own family through after not returning home. Emeline simply didn’t want the family so tense. Arthur had too strong of willpower, and Benjamin was simply too bullheaded to accept a decision. It split the home, and as much as it hurt, she had to side with her brothers on the matter, sympathizing with their patriotic attitudes. She remained at home until they returned.
But they didn’t return. Only Arthur came home, a mental and physical mess, after bearing witness to his younger brother’s death. Zoo was convicted to return to school, though her parents refused to pay if she left home again. But there was no option other than New York. So she left with ten dollars, some apples, and two nursing books.Who are you?
