Name: Marzena Lefkowitz
Nickname: Smokey
Age: 17
Appearance: Smokey has long dark brown hair that falls down her shoulders, with bangs that stop just above her sea green eyes. Her skin is tanned with a small birth mark on her left shoulder. Around her neck she wears two think pieces of black rope that are tied together to hide the scar from the failed attempt on her life when she was younger.
Personality: Street smart, reckless, impulsive, and sometimes unusually cool-tempered, Smokey is one of those people you don't really want to get too close to. Although, she is not without a conscience, Smokey doesn't really think of others very often unless she can somehow profit from it. Her sweet, yet seductive face makes it easy for her to con her way in and out of things. Her loyalty is given to a very very small number of people, whom she would do anything for. Unfortunately, more than half of those people are dead.
History: Smokey was born Marzena Zelig in New York's Lower East Side. To protect her from any harm, her father, Jack Zelig -- one of the top lieutenants to Monk Eastman of the Monk Eastman Gang -- gave her the last name of his father, Lefkowitz. After Marzena was attacked by one of her father's rival gangs' members, she and her mother were sent to Brooklyn for protection. Because Marzena and her father were very close, Marzena rebelled against her mother out of anger after being forced to leave her father. She ran away for days at a time and would always come back with some new garment of clothing from a male admirer. After seeing how much she had hurt her mother, she returned home and stopped her promiscuous doings. She was 15 at the time. A few years later Marzena was brutally attacked and cut on the throat. She developed a nervous condition not long after and began smoking heavily, earning her the nickname Smokey, which was, oddly, given to her by her mother. Smokey now lives with her mother in Brooklyn, disowning both her father and grandfather's last names, and going only by the name her mother gave her: Smokey.
