PERSONALITY

Say what you want about Vanessa, just don't call her 'innocent'. To the people who don't know her and love her, she can be very sweet, and extremely friendly. But to the people who know her best...she's a dangerous girl. But one thing about Vanessa, she's a very nosy girl, and she earned her nickname the right way.

Growing up, she was taught to be street smart, and extremely sharp-witted. She became wise beyond her years. Now that's why Vanessa was never considered innocent...she always knew out to weasel her way out of trouble...especially with some of the neighborhood kids. Having once landed in the Refuge for stabbing a kid in the ear with a pencil in a street fight in Manhattan.

HISTORY

Born on February 15th, 1883 in Manhattan to Christopher and Kelly Leighton. Her parents met in a bar one summer night in 1879. Her father was a bartender and her mother was an entertainer. They fell in love at first sight one night, and were married in the Fall of 1880. They were very loving towards each other at first.

Then when Vanessa came into the world in the Winter of 1883, she was clueless to how much her parents life had changed after she was born. As Vanessa grew up, her worst fears became reality. At the age of 7, she watched as her mother and father drank and fought with each other. She hid in her room until the fights were over...but then her father would come and beat up on her next.

Then when she was 12, she watched the very last fight between her parents, which resulted in her mother's untimely death. She watched her father throw her mother out the 3rd floor window of their apartment. Seeing this, Vanessa snapped, and took a kitchen knife, and stabbed her father repeatedly in the chest until he died. Then, she ran off into the clear night.

Now-a-days, Vanessa is looking for any kind of job she can get her hands on. Having just turned 16, she has been walking the streets of Manhattan trying to find ways to make a living.
