River couldn't help but give her a wide smile, "Thanks doll...I'll be by soon enough to take you for the coffee as promised. I'm probably gonna head home, go to Brooklyn tomorrow." He appreciated her offer of company whenever he would need it. River pulled some money from his pocket and laid it on the bar before standing. He quickly placed a chaste kiss on Sarah's cheek. "Have a good night."
He turned and walked out, heading back in the direction of his lodging house. He was going to take the long way and try to sober up a bit more. Plus he had too much on his mind to go back now. He wouldn't be getting to bed anytime soon and the weather wasn't too cold for his tastes. He shoved his hands in his pockets as he continued walking, lost in his thoughts over what he had to do.
