(New Day - Open [need two people])
Sweetheart finished selling her papers and satdown in front of the pond. She had been in Bronx for a while now and she LOVED it. Still, she felt pretty lonely. Sure she had Jewel, but the only other people she met were from other parts of New York and she was a little frightened to venture outside Bronx territory alone. She didn't know how to fight, and that was a bad thing for a Newsie. She found it kind of odd that she hasn't even met any of the Newsboys of the Bronx. She hung around with the girls and she was still a bit scared of men because of her father.
Sweetheart watched the ducks as they swam around the pond. She always liked birds. Hey were so free and majestic in Sweetheart's opinion.
Sweetheart suddenly heard someone behind her and she stiffened.

Jewel smiled as she felt Sweetheart stiffen up at her touch. It wasn't rare to see SWeetheart insuch a scared state, but why had it happened is the question.
*Wow, something must've scared her badly today to make her so tense.* she thought to herself.
"Don't be afraid, Sweetie-Bird...it's just me." Jewel said in a soft tone to her 'little sister'. A wide smile on her face, her green eyes sparkling.
"So...how ave you been today? Is everything okay? Why were you so tense when I touched you?" She asked her.

Sweetheart smiled up at Jewel.
"I finished selling papers awhile ago and my customers still think I am ten years old. I just didn't know who was behind me. I'm also just pondering about something." she said.

Jewel came around to sit near Sweetheart....she was so unsettled herself after everything that she had been through lately. She wrapped her arm around Sweetheart's shoulders and smiled slightly.
"So...the customers still think you're 10 years old? That's adorable...but it's good. Cause they always say that the youngest sells more papes. But honestly...I think it's great that the customers think you're so young." she said.
"So, what is it that's got you thinking so hard? What exactly are you pondering?" she asked her 'little sister' with a smile.

Sweetheart was quiet for a minute.
"Well, I just find it a little odd that I have met non-Bronx Newsies but I haven't seen a single Bronx Newsboy. I know it sounds strange but, I tend to notice those type of things and I jut have to think about them." she rambled, blushing as she realized this.

Jewel looked strangely at Sweetheart. She never understood this girl's fascination with the Bronx Newsboys...especially since Jacob was one of them now. Jewel made a face to herself, and then smiled at Sweetheart.
"So, you've seen all of the non-Bronx newsies...but you've never seen any of the BRONX newsboys? Well Sweetie-bird, I don't know what to tell you, baby. I've never really met any of them myself yet, but they live in the other house that River now runs as leader. The only guy...I even KNOW of is the old leader, Dodger...that's Lexi's man." She explained.

Sweetheart sighed.
"I was just hoping that there were some Newsies that are my age or younger. I haven't seen a single Newsie who isn't at least fifteen or older. I just wanted to know that I wasn't the youngest Newsie in New York." Sweetheart rambled. Being around people older than her really irritated Sweetheart because she wanted to converse with someone about her age for once.
She looked down. "I'm sorry Jewely. I didn't mean to bother you with my stupid wondering." she mumbled.

Jewel sighed, she felt like hell, cause she was just being slightly mean to Sweetheart at this point. She put her arm around her, and hugged her.
"I'm so sorry, Sweetie-bird, I haven't had the best day today. I didn't mean to snap at you." She said with a small smile.
"Also, trust me, you're not the youngest one here... there are girls and boys younger than you here...or in your age bracket. You just need to find them is all." She said.
"So....what are you doing out here? I was out in Queens...what a time that was. Saw a pretty familiar face there." She said.

Sweetheart hugged Jewel. "It's alright, Jewely." she said.
Then, she sighed. "It's been boring. What did happen in Queens?" she asked with eagerness in her voice and her eyes sparkled.

Jewel sighed heavily. She also smiled as she remembered her encounter with Luke.
"Well...I saw this really cute guy again. His name is Luke, he's older than me I can telly you that. He's extremely charming. But a little brash." she said.
Jewel sighed "I can never say this borough is boring, SWeetie-bird. It all depends on the company you keep while you're out here. Just remember that. " she said.

Sweetheart smiled sort of sadly.
"That's kind of the problem. Since you are the only one that I have had more than one conversation with, it gets lonely for me when you're off somewhere. Maybe I just need to get out more." Sweetheart mused.

Jewel sighed. She hated being lonely, so she knew how Sweetheart felt about it. It as an awful feeling.
"Yes, Sweetie-bird, I know it can get kind of boring if you have no one to talk to...Haven't you had any other people talking to you besides me?" she asked.
Eversince becoming a big sister figure to Sweetheart, Jewel felt like her life had just changed right in front of her. She shook her head. *Looks like I was wrong about my life going nowhere but down* she thought to herself.

"No, I just can't seem to get enough courage to say hi to someone. Espcially since I keep worrying that they will just laugh at me and walk away." she admitted.

Jewel hugged Sweetheart to her again. Jewel rolled her eyes secretly *Good God...this girl has more hang=ups than a clothes closet.* she thought to herself.
"You have to learn how to get courage and go say Hello to them. It's not hard...I did it to you when we first met. It's not that hard baby." she said.
