Dodger watched his friend for a minute and thought about that before he took a long drag and sorted through what idiot would be dumb enough to kiss Lucky-- and who was back in town that he knew of. Quiet for a moment he winced a bit and tapped some ash from his smoke over the wall. "Aye.. I can see that." If it was who he thought it was he was quiet for a time, shaking his head. "If I know anything about Miri love, it's that the girl does right by those she loves. Girls in love with you, mate. Confused probably, but once she clears her mind she'll figure things out..."
Glancing sideways for a moment he snorted at the other question. "Sakes what has the munter not done. Picked a fight with Fighter, Birdie AND Hawkeye at different bloody times.."

River shrugged his shoulders at Dodgers words and dropped his crushed cigarette. "He's going to regret doing it," His voice was even as he spoke. He had calmed down a lot since he'd spoken to Lucky but that didn't mean he was completely over it. It definitely didn't mean that. If anything it had just given him more time to stew over exactly what he was going to say and do to this kid.
He couldn't help but snicker when Dodger told him about what the new girl had done. "Dame must be crazy," He said with a grin. He wasn't against picking fights with them but they were his friends so he wouldn't. Well, Birdie was his friend. He didn't know Hawkeye that well and he knew Fighter had never cared for him. That feeling had been a mutual one and that was probably why he'd never gotten to know Hawk. They'd been close friends for awhile now. "She still breathin'?"

"I'm not sure if it's fortunate she is or not," he muttered, taking another long drag form his smoke. "I'm just glad bloody Conlon hasn't decided to take an interest though I think the best thing he could do is to ignore the chit. She's causing a ruckus.."
After another moment or two he leaned back and looked up at the former Brooklynite, knowing his loyalties were with him and the Bronx but deep down he was still Brooklyn. They were all like that, he knew that even those that moved around, their homes were their homes. Blood was thicker than water, and sometimes it was blood spilled next to each other that caused the connection. After taking another drag, Dodger smirked, "So-- take it you've been stewin' on this business for a few days now, aye? You go and talk to Miri yet?"

River smirked when Dodger said he was glad Conlon hadn't taken an interest. He could understand his leaders relief, the last thing they needed was Conlon taking a negative interest in one of their lodgers. "Hopefully she's done causing a ruckus," River said, imagining what Fighter, Birdie, and Hawkeye might have done to her.
A small shake of his head was Rivers only response at first to Dodgers question. He knew he needed to see Miranda but he wanted to visit her friend first. He wanted to set the guy straight when it came to touching his woman. "Gonna go see Danny first," the disgust in his voice was evident when he said the mans name. He planned on having a nice long chat with the man and giving him a bruise or two to remember it by.

"Honestly mate, if Miranda had nothing to do with it, you and Ace would get on... and you know I'm right too." he took another drag as he watched him, realizing that the fact he didn't go was because he wanted to pound the shit out of Danny first, which only made him smirk. He knew his friend did it because he loved Miranda. If there was devotion from a person, River showed it in more ways then anyone really noticed.
"But he'll be expecting it, mate. Guessing he probably didn't know about you either... keep that in mind, yeah?"

River can't help but scowl at Dodgers words because he will not be getting along with this Ace character, but he will be watching him. A sigh escaped his lips as he leaned back once more to continue staring at the sky. "Doubt that," He said with a smirk. "Not planning on getting friendly with the enemy."
That's exactly what Ace was in Rivers mind and nothing was going to be able to change that at the moment. River turned his eyes towards Dodger when he spoke again. "Not my fault he didn't know, he probably should've taken the time to find out."

Dodger saw the scowl and took another drag from his smoke, looking down over the side for a moment as he watched a familiar form make their way down the street. Shifting as he watched the form he flicked the ash into the dark. "It's Miri. What do you want me to tell her?"
Shove off, come back later-- what did River want? Though he had been friends with them both it was in a sense, bros before hoes with Dodger unless it came to Lexi. Then it was always a toss up and Lexi understood because he was the leader it was his responsibility to take care of everything and everyone.

"Not here," He said as though that were the logical answer. He would talk to her when he was ready, until then she could stew for a bit like he had been. He didn't want to talk to her before he had a chance to talk with this Ace fellow. He'd go to Brooklyn soon enough and talk to her but he wasn't going to rush into it especially when he was still as angry and hungover as he was.

Dodger snorted a bit and got up, shifting to his feet and sighing. "If she don't by it I'm not going to toss her out. Girl's persistent as hell when she wants something... somethin you both have in common." Shrugging his shoulders the leader ran his hand over his neck and sighed, heading to the door. "You don't want advice, boyo, I won't give it to you. But when your ready to talk probably best to listen."
He knew for a fact that Lucky wasn't going to be happy that River "wasn't there" because he knew her well enough that the trip to the Bronx alone made her mad. Going that far for nothing did often annoy a lot of them but he figured she'd figure it out on her own at some point and come back to give them all hell. He'd just make River deal with that if it was when he didn't want to do it. Hand on the door he opened it up, hoping there was no one eves dropping. "But.. for the record. You finally got the gell are you goin' to let you bein' pissed off at someone else ruin what ya have?" Raising a brow, he headed into the lodging house letting the door swing shut behind him.

River couldn't help but let the scowl deepen at Dodger's words. Once he was back inside River snuck down into the bunk room and went out the back. He knew he was being childish but he wasn't ready to talk to Lucky. He would say something he didn't mean. It would be better for both of them if he got to talk to Ace first and then talked to her when he was calmer.
