The lodging house roof is kept mostly clean, and is an ideal place if you just want to get away for a while and think.

Rori had taken to being home better than anyone would have expected, the perky little storyteller made more money telling tales in the park than she did selling papers. And she liked it better that way. It had been a few days since she'd last seen Reid in awhile, it made her blush a bit to think about the trouble and the fun they'd had playing in the fountain. She'd been soaked to her skin and she didn't care, even when people were staring because Reid was laughing. A part of her guessed she was there just to make him feel something, help him.
With a grin she shifted and sat on the edge of the retaining wall of the building, looking around over the city and biting her lip as the sun started to peak over the buildings. It was a new day, and she'd been awake for hours. She wondered what kind of trouble was to be had today, what could she do to make people stare or laugh...

Reid climbed onto the roof and stretched before his eyes landed on Rori. Smiling, he tucked his hands into his pockets and walked towards her. "Do you ever go back to your lodging house?" He asked with a grin on his face.
He didn't mind finding Rori here, in fact, he preferred it. He found himself feeling more like himself anytime he was in her presence.

With a flashing smirk she turned to Reid and bounded off of the retaining wall, "Why would I go there? It's boring.." And he wasn't there, flashing him a grin she came to stand in front of him-- a few inches away. "So..what do you want to do today?"

He laughed when she said it was boring, "It's not much better here." At least it wasn't when she wasn't around. He smirked as she stood in front of him and rocked back and forth on his heels. "Anything really...did you have something in mind?'

She reached over and grabbed his shirt, tossing her head over towards the city. "Look! there is an entire city out there waiting for us to reach out and grab it.. take it all by force." All she could do was smile up at him, and up she did.. she always wanted to run away but at that moment she was just happy to be next to him. And she didn't care if those smiles were all hers.

Reid laughed and followed her gaze, "Isn't that the truth?" He couldn't wait to go on their next adventure. It put all thoughts of his pain out of his mind. Although he hadn't told Rori about his brother he knew he'd have to eventually but today wasn't the day for that. "Wanna start out at a boxing match?"

She smiled, "That..." she said patting his chest. "Is exactly what I like to hear. What about after that?"

Reid glanced down at her hand before grinning and catching it in his own. "You're choice." Although Reid wasn't normally a forward person, Rori brought out a different side in him and he lifted her hand to his lips to brush a kiss across her knuckles. "Wanna get going?"

She actually blushed a bit, that kind of-- gentlemanly gesture she still wasn't used to but she smiled at him none the less. Reid was someone that could keep her on her toes just as much as she could keep him on his. And-- he made her heart race like running through the park did.
Nodding she shifted her hand in his to lock with his fingers, she should probably get around the borough and meet some of her borough mates but she didn't to just yet. This was where she wanted to be.

Reid smiled when Rori blushed but he remembered something he had promised to do that day once they had started descending to the street. "I have to back early," he said somberly but he hoped by the tone of his voice that Rori wouldn't ask him about why. He had told his sister that he would replace the flowers on Perry's grave and he knew that she visited daily. He just wanted to keep it a secret for awhile longer and not impact his relationship with Rori. He didn't need another person feeling sorry for him.

((New Day)) ((Night fall))
As the moon was rising Wolf finally made it to the top of the building. This was one of the lodging houses in town, but he liked this one best. The Bronx just seemed more like his place. But he would find a place later on...As the last candles in the lanterns were lit Wolf lay down on his back and gazed at the night sky.
Hundreds of stars and of course the great moon shone brightly. If he lisend carefully he could hear the newsies bustling around inside.
He sighed. Tomorrow he would become a newsie and sell newspapers. Why? Because he could...

*NEW DAY* River flicked the butt of his cigarette over the edge of the roof, not caring that someone might be down there. He had too much on his mind already to even consider the possibility and he cared even less if there was. His impromptu trip to Caprice had kept him from going to Brooklyn the night before but he planned on making the trip tomorrow. If he hadn't been so hung over today he would have already gone. It was probably a good thing he hadn't gone that night because as much as he wanted to hit the kid he didn't want to completely lose control of himself. He let out a sigh as he leaned back and crossed his arms over his chest, staring up at the sky. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it, not even caring that he was smoking like a regular chimney. He had too many things on his mind and he knew he should be going to bed but he wouldn't get to sleep anytime soon. He wasn't sure if he was more mad at Lucky or Danny. At this point his anger was completely focused on the guy because he'd kissed River's girl, but he knew that eventually it would turn on Miranda. As much as he loved the girl, he couldn't go through this again. It had been hard enough being her friend when she'd been with Sneaks, he knew he wouldn't be able to or want to do it if she started dating this guy.

Dodger had been running around like a chicken with his head cut off, listening to half of Brooklyn bitch about some new girl in the Borough he assumed it was the same one that had Emma up in arms. It made him sigh and his brow raised once he spotted one of his closest mates looking fit to be tied. "Don't tell me it's this manky little eejit got to you too mate. Don't know if I can field anymore complaints about some daft girl in my borough.."
He raised a brow and pulled out a smoke, moving to the retaining wall and sitting down. What a bloody day..

River sighed before sending a sour look in Dodgers direction. He hadn't even thought of the girl or seen her since the incident with Lucky at McGinty's. He scoffed and took another drag of his cigarette, "Hardly...haven't said more then a few words to the girl." He didn't care enough at this point to even have an opinion about her. "One of Lucky's friend came back to New York and bought the restaurant she works at. Jackass told her he loves her and then kissed her."
His fists clenched at his side and he crushed his still cigarette, burning his hand but he didn't even notice. His anger was easily taking over anything else he was feeling and he scowled up at the sky. "What'd the silly chit do now?"
