Doyle sat in his usual place at the bar, nursing a nice cold Guiness. From this spot, he could see the whole room and watch the door--he learned early on in his job was to never turn your back on the enemy and to always pay attention to everything around you. And, this bar was known to be a frequent stop for several... unsavory people, such as himself. He had to watch his back just in case someone he had a grudge with tried to get the jump on him.
Doyle finished off the last of his beer and waved the bartender over to order a second. Just as he was given his pint of Guiness, the bell overhead the door chimed, drawing his attention to the entrance. A smile slowly formed on his face when he caught sight of who it was. Devan. He waited a few minutes to see if she was with anyone but when she ordered a pint and a bowl of soup it didn't seem like she was waiting.
Doyle placed some money on the bar to cover his drinks and then handed the bartender enough to cover hers. Then, he grabbed up his glass of beer and made his way over to Devan's table--shooting at warning look at several men who were leering at her. "This seat taken, gorgeous?" he asked, standing behind her smiling.

Devan was oblivious to the men around her as she ate a spoonful of the soup before washing it down with a sip of beer. When she heard a familiar voice she couldn't help the wide smile that crossed her face as she raised her eyes. "It actually isn't..." She trailed off biting on her lower lip as she finally got a good look at the patrons of the bar before focusing her attention back on Doyle. "Are you a regular here, Logan?"
Her smile grew as she waited for his response and continued to take in her surroundings. Ki would be incredibly upset with her if she mentioned that she'd wandered into a place like this alone, so she wouldn't. Plus, she might have come in alone but Logan was here and she was certain none of the other patrons would bother her. Well, she hoped so at least. She'd probably leave this whole time frame out of her account of the day when she spoke to her cousin. She didn't want to worry him needlessly.

Opting for the chair beside her as opposed as the one across from her--hoping his proximity to Devan deterred any of the men from trying anything--Doyle sat down and took a sip of his beer. "Sure am. Here most everyday. One of the bartenders and I do--are acquaintances." Acquaintances meaning that they do business together. But, she didn't need to know that some of the men that worked here and even some of the customers were shady characters who did frequent business with his boss and him. Although, he decided he should probably warn her off frequenting this place too much. He always had a soft spot for a pretty lady.
"Devan, does that big cousin of yours that you told me about know you come into places like this alone?" Doyle threw back the rest of his beer and gestured for the bartender to bring him another.
