History Annabelle was not raised in the most normal environment, her family in England consisted of magicians, illusionists, and stage performers. By the age of 5 Annabelle knew how to present herself on and off stage, simply from watching her mother who was her father's assistant in his illusion acts. Annabelle went to school and did well but she was always more interested in the life of performing. She had taken a notice to a young singer who performed every so often at the same venue as her parents and Annabelle began to experiment with her own vocal capabilities. She would sing day in and day out and her parents saw a ton of potential in their young beautiful daughter. When she was 10 years old, her father made her a part of his act, making her sing during intermissions, this brought in a tad bit more money here and there. But when Annabelle was 11 years old something horrific happened, her father's act that included a firey finale ended quite terribly, the venue was abliterated, most made it out of the fire including herself, but both her mother and father failed to escape the fire that was caused by an attempt at doing a magic trick with burning hoops, the fire had taken the entire venue down in flames and Annabelle watched as the theater was engulfed, traumatized. Annabelle was shipped off to the only other living family member she had that would even care for her, her Aunt in New York. Her aunt though nice for the first few months of taking care of Annabelle had turned to alcohol from the grief of losing her brother in the fire and began blaming her niece for it. So hitting the bottle night in and night out now, Annabelle witnessed her aunt turn into something destructive, she began hitting Annabelle and for a few months, she endured it, but at age 12, Annabelle ran away into the mazed city of New York. At first the poor girl didn't know what to do to get by, she slept under bridges and on occassion she would sing on corners where most would stop to admire her talent and would drop her a few cents. At 13 years old after living on the streets for a year, she ran into a young boy who was yelling headlines at the top of his lungs. She asked the boy what he was doing and he had introduced her to the lifestyle of newspaper selling to get by and took her to the nearest lodging house where she was accepted but not completely trusted at first. Most of the other newsies found it odd for the girl with the beautiful voice to be selling papers, but they named her NightenGale because it was rare to not hear her happy or mournful songs. At 15 years old NightenGale came upon Medda Larkson, she had watched from the back rows, many of Medda's shows. NightenGale had been singing along while trying to sell her papes when she saw Medda, NightenGale couldn't help herself and had to at least ask Medda if there was any job she could do at Irving Hall.She approached Medda and asked if she could have a job if there was any available positions and was greatfully given a job as a stage hand and clean up help at Irving Hall for awhile and when NightenGale turned 16 she had asked if she could begin doing small performing slots during the shows here and there. Now at 17 NightenGale still performs at Irving Hall whenever she is given the opportunity and she also continues selling her papes in the day and stage handing at night.
