River: How long have you been here? *smiles* North of here.
Ki: Couple weeks *takes another sip* *smiles at River* Came to find my cousin, we left our families behind in New Orleans.
River: Oh? *raises an eyebrow* Why'd you do that?
Ki: *laughs a little* *knows it sounds unusal* We grew up in the circus and our parents thought it'd be good for us to get some experience outside of it for a bit. *They had never been a conventional family*
River: *chuckles* Really? I've never met someone from the circus. What's that like? *grins* *takes a sip of his drink*
Ki: It's fun *grins* *has always loved his life* It's a lot of traveling, but my whole family are performers and it's the only life I've ever know *shrugs* Good way to see the country
River: I bet. *smiles* This your first time in the city?
Ki: Yeah, at least that I'm old enough to remember *grins*
River: You sure you want to? *joking* *laughs*
Ki: *laughs* I suppose that depends, now doesn't it? *still laughing* Doesn't seem so bad so far *as long as he can keep Devan out of to much trouble*
River: It's not. *finishes his drink and orders another* I'm sure you've been worse places.
Ki: I have *shrugs* Seen just about everything there is to see. And most places have good things and bad things about them *drains the rest of his drink* It's mostly the people that matter
River: You'll find more then enough of those in new York. *though river was sick of a few of them*
Ki: So I've noticed *chuckles* *has always been a people watcher of sorts*
