PERSONALITY

Rosalyn is fairly reserved and modest, but she's not necessarily shy. She likes people, being around them and getting to know them, and she has a little bit of a lame sense of humor, but she tries not to let that get her down. Essentially, she's a goofball, but she's not spazzy or hyperactive, so you won't really see her right off the bat. She loves her job, and she likes making sure the customers at Tibby's are well taken care of. Rosalyn is also very caring, so if you need help, she'll gladly help you.

On the other hand, Rosalyn can also be a little hesitant and nervous if she feels uncomfortable (i.e. around the Delancey brothers or anyone with similar attitudes, or around anyone that is violently drunk and could cause trouble, etc), but she'll stand her ground instead of running from it. On that same note, she's protective, especially over children. She's hardworking and determined, but not necessarily the smartest girl in the world.

HISTORY

When Rosalyn White was born, her father was nowhere to be found, and her mother gave her up to her own parents. Rosalyn's mother was not prepared for a child, and she wanted to get out of New York to begin with, so she seemed not to feel any remorse about leaving the infant behind. Rosalyn's grandparents then raised her, providing decently for her, but they were nowhere near being wealthy. They were just an average little family sharing an apartment together as Rosalyn grew up and attended school, and her grandparents were proud of her, wanting her to grow up and make something of herself.

As she went into her teen years, Rosalyn was often called "Razzie", just because it was shorter and quicker and easier and... she used the word "razzmatazz" quite a bit. Rosalyn, Rosie, Razzie... the evolution of a nickname. She goes by either Rosalyn or Razzie, because both are just fine with her. As the years progressed, her grandparents grew older, and they fell ill one harsh winter; Rosalyn quit school at age seventeen and began working at a candy shop, wanting to help with the family's money intake. It wasn't until around her eighteenth birthday the following summer that her grandparents passed away.

Her grandfather was first to go, and several weeks later, her grandmother followed. Rosalyn was then on her own, and once she had enough money, she packed all her belongings (along with some mementos from her grandparents) and moved into a smaller apartment. She was heartbroken, but a smaller apartment meant less rent to pay, and she figured... maybe the move would help her grieve. She continued working at the candy shop until ownership traded hands, in which she quit and became a waitress at Tibby's Restaurant in Manhattan. Rosalyn is twenty years old now, still working at Tibby's, often finding herself in the middle of rowdy newsboys wanting their grub.
