LOUISE SOPHIA TUCKER
NAME:
NICKNAME: Blues
AGE: Sixteen
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: United States of AmericaPERSONALITY
Louise Tucker, known around town as Blues, is a firecracker; the girl with the short fuse, but the ever-so-clichéd heart of gold. She was raised by her father and brother, so she’s a tomboy of sorts. Louise is an instigator, despite her father’s best attempts. She gets a kick out of pushing people’s button and seeing how far they’ll go. Much like her mother, she’s always starring people down – trying to intimidate them and make them feel uncomfortable under her glare. Louise is by no means a hard ass. She’s strong, somewhat trained to fight, but not at all murderous. She will, however, take any one down who insults her – a few punches, a kick here or there, but never further. She wouldn’t want that sort of blood on her hands.
Louise Tucker has all the determination in the world. She’s very manipulative and sly. She’ll constantly belittle you, but do it so subtly that you hardly notice, if not at all. Blues is chop full of soul and appreciation for her family and roots. She’s musical, in the sense that she’s always humming a tune or snapping her fingers. She’s confident, too, and has no reason to be otherwise. She’s aware of her faults – being too harsh, too quick to judge, and short-tempered, but she also knows her good qualities; loyalty, emotional strength, and charisma.HISTORY
Louise Sophia was named after her mother, Sophia and her home state. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Louise was played the blues to sleep. Her father, a pianist in a local brothel, often took her to work – especially after her mother’s death, when Louise was merely three years old. When not tickling the ivories, William Tucker worked odd jobs – shoe-shining, farm hand, and his favorite, boxing matches. He always told Louise and her brother, Thomas, that he’d only ever had three dreams; playing a mean tune on the keys, fightin’, and raising his two angels. With that, he said, he’d die a happy man.
Louise always aspired to be like her father, she begged him to teach her piano and to fight. William didn’t ever hesitate, either. When Louise was eight and Thomas was twelve, William was accused – wrongfully – for a serious crime against a white, aristocratic woman he’d done some work for. The jury found him guilty of all charges and sentenced him to death. However, before he was taken away, Will Tucker took his two children and fled to New York.
There, they lived happily. William was playing the piano in the evening at various Vaudeville theaters and fighting when he had time. Thomas got a job as a newsie and Louise was quick to follow. Unfortunately, the law caught up with them and on the eve of Thomas’ eighteenth birthday, William was carted away.
For a while, Louise and Thomas struggled to maintain any form of lifestyle. The “salary” of two newsies was hardly enough to keep an apartment. So, they moved into the boarding house and Louise took up another “job”. She became a turtledove, or a woman who dresses up like a maid and steals from the wealthy. She’d take jewelry, money, antique vases, anything she could get her hands on and sell it. Everyday, she'd get up and sell the morning edition, go to lunch with "her boys", then switch outfits and be on her way.Who are you?
Kelsey, Seventeen, Eastern Standard, The Bronx or Brooklyn, just Blues, though I think I’ve registered here before and…failed to…do anything. But that won’t happen now, as I no longer have school! Whoot whoot, graduate!
