Hello Members of 1899! We're looking to possibly get the board up and running again! If you're interested let us know. We're looking to revamp, maybe change a few things and bring us back strong.

We'll be checking the admin account for the next few days, and you'll be able to personal message there as well. Please reply sooner rather than later! Late Sunday night, depending on the turn out, the board may go down for maintenance, but will reopen Friday night if all goes well.

Any other characters, I don't think I'd miss. I think I'd also like to give up Jack--I don't really have the time to play a borough leader anymore, and I think it's time to hand it off to someone else.

As for what we wanna do next...why not just start over completely? Let's see what happens when we start from the beginning, see where our crazy characters lead us.

Where to start: I don't know that I want to start over completely. There are a couple friendships and relationships that I'd like to hang onto if I could. (Fighter/Davey for one, but I'd like to talk to Kat obviously before committing to that. Lia/Luke is another if Five Points is hanging around maybe perhaps in different roles or a different context, but I won't list them all, lol.) But I would be in favor of some sort of combo reboot to give other characters a chance to shine and maybe give the board some new life

I also second Jace's suggestion on making this post more prominent, I'll reach out to a few people I talk to off board and let them know about it, in case they aren't aware! It'd be great to see this place revitalized, it was my first role play and thus will always have a special place in my heart

I like the idea of a partial reboot. Let old members keep a few relationships, but still give new members a place to get a foothold in the action.

I don't know if I'm in favor of a five year leap, that's a pretty big jump. I was thinking more like a history scrub, a chance to replay and rebuild some relationships in a different way. (For example Davey and Fighter met because of the workhouse rebellion, if that's scrubbed from the history then they have to find a new way to meet and get together.)

I think we may lose to many valuable and fun opportunities by skipping ahead and aging everyone up five years but that is just my opinion

Exactly And we get the option to keep the things we like and dump the things we dont in our respective charries histories and then build things again, through new eyes or altogether different.

It provides the creativity we all want and a different lens but doesn't make it so we have to keep everything that's happened or lose some of the fun opportunities by keeping things in 1899

No problem with aging some people up if we want too that can be part of the history scrub - I think basically what we are talking about is combining the two ideas. Not aging everyone up and maybe not by five years, but scrubbing history so major events didn't happen so we can sort of start anew

If you'd rather pick up where we left off, or maybe start over, or a combination?: I second what Ali said. Refresh for the most part, but allow "vets" keep some relationships. I not sure I'm up for EVERYTHING to be moved forward five years, now that I think it through, but it'd be nice to be able to make some charries older.

I think it should be at the players discretion. Whatever they want. I know I'm revamping most of my charries relationships..just hitting it fresh with them.. there are some friendships and stuff i'd love to keep going but like i said i feel like it should be at the players discretion on a character to character basis.
