<< new day>>
Jack was walking up and down the street selling his papers rather effectively. He still was trying to find some job that would allow him to have clean hands at the end of the day, but until then, selling papers was where he'd stay. The past few weeks had been hard, with the loss of two of his newsies, but he was slowly recovering.

Nik looked up from her book at the boy who was selling newspapers. Something he had yelled out interested her. Being familiar with the newsie way, she knew some of it was a little far fetched, but also knew everyone had to make a living. She stood from the bench she was sitting on and walked over to him. She pulled out a coin from her back pocket and handed it out to him.

Jack smiled at the young woman, taking her money and handing her a pape. "I hope you enjoy, miss." He tipped his cowboy hat, grinnin.

Nik nodded, "Thanks," then retreated back to her bench.

Prince had been out of Quarentine for a while, and it was annoying her. She'd seen her own kids, pleanty that's for sure, but she had barely been out of Queens for practically three months! She thought she was going to go crazy cooped up in that city for so long. She needed to get out, she needed to find Jack.
She boys at the lodging house had said he was heading towards Cherry Street, so she was heading that way. She heard him calling out headlines, and took off at a dead run, excited to see him again. She missed him.

Jack was about to say something to the girl who bought from him, but he saw Prince running towards him. "Hey!" Putting the newspaper's down, he pulled Prince into his arms, not really giving a crap who saw them as he spun her a bit.
"Looks like you're all better now.." He grinned.

"And then some," she said in a normal tone, but softer, just to be safe. "I got tired of bein' stuck in Queens. Am I interruptin' ya sellin'?" she asked, her tone going back to a lower one, as she spoke louder. "If I am, I can catch up with ya latah, I just wanted ta come by an' say hey," she said smiling to him brightly, more like a kid than a fellow leader.

Remembering that Prince was pretending to be a boy, Jack stepped back, running a hand through his hair embarassedly. "No no I'm almost done." He shrugged, lowering his voice. "Yer lucky I didn't kiss ya." He laughed. "That woulda been bad."

Prince chuckled a little. "Fuget did ya?" she asked as she tucked a piece of loose hair back up into her hat. "Sa'right, sometimes I wish I weren't a boy no more either," she said shrugging slightly. "S'fun an' everythin'... but I wish ya... aw, nevah mind. Want a hand finishin' up, or... I could just head out and see ya latah... or just hang around an' wait. Ya call," she said leaving him options so he wouldn't be forced into anything. She felt like they'd just started dating again, after such a long abscence.

Jack smirked and shook his head, grabbing half the papers. "Nah..yous can help me, then wes can get something to eat, sound good?" He wanted to be able to play with her hair, to give her a kiss.

Prince nodded and smiled to him. "Sounds like a good idea! If ya take that half of da street I'll take dis half," she said pointing out the halves respectively. She turned to her side of the street and started selling as quickly as she could so they could get out of here.

Jack laughed, glad to see her so excited. He sold the rest of his papers quickly, counting the money as he waited for Prince to finish. He had a bit of money and could afford some place a tad bit better than Tibbys, he thought.

Prince returned to him a few minutes later. "And here ya are leadah!" she said handing him more than exact change, due to the fact that some people were often generous to newsies. "Not to shabby for a day, if ya ask me."

"Really?" she looked at him warily. "Well, if ya sure," she said and slowly put the money in her pocket. When asked the question where she'd like to go she shrugged. "I'm open really. Where do you wanna go? What can ya afford?" she asked, not wanting him to over pay.
