Sophia spotted her oldest and dearest friend and a slow smile worked over her face as she walked up behind her and fell into step at her side, her parisol spinning idoly over her shoulder.
"It's been such a bore lately," she remarked looking over at her friend with an actual smile. There were three people in this world that Sophie didn't believe she needed to dance around the bush with. Mitchell, Roxanne and Henry James. Her three best friends in the universe. All others were beneath them all.

"It's been such a bore lately,"
Roxie smirked to herself, she knew that voice, it belonged to Sophia Aragon, her closest friend. She smiled, and nodded, agreeing with her friend. "It has been," She said with a dramatic sigh. "What has been happening with you lately?" She asked, giving the parasol on her shoulder a twirl.
Along with Sophia, Roxie had two other very close friends; Mitchell and Henry James. The four of them were a wonderful bunch. They all thought that anyone beneath them were the scum of the Earth; which they were, it just their job to tell the others.

She smiled and tilted her head as they walked, it was true. "Noting much at all, father is pressing Mitchell and I to make our engagement announcement but we find it to amusing to allow them all to shake in their shoes. They actually do not believe we'll announce it.." she shook her head with a smirk, odd how that was the most that debutantes had to worry about. Marriage and if their shoes matched their dress.
"It's been a terrible farce, but amusing none the less. And you Roxie? I've missed your visits lately.."

Henry James had gotten out of accompanying his parents to mass today because he'd insisted he had to work at his accounting business. He was very behind, he told them, and if he wanted to get time off this weekend to do his collections he needed to work. They had sent him off with pleased smiles, and Henry James had gone in the direction of the accounting office.
He had then taken a right and then a left to end up on Cherry Street. A housemaid who wasn't a complete rat lived somewhere around here, and Henry James wanted to see if he could win her over with a pair of paste pearl earrings. But what he got was a far more pleasant surprise.
"Well, well...what indeed are the odds?" He smiled warmly as he approached his two good friends. "Miss Tyler. It's been simply ages." He took her hand and kissed it before turning to Sophia. "And Miss Aragon. Lovely to see you again." He kissed her hand as well.

Mitch was taking a walk through Manhattan, enjoying the sights, meeting people, tormenting a few unlucky fellows.. Also, he was planning to go see his fianceé, talk about their wedding and what not. Sure, it was an arranged marriage, but he did love Sophia, she was devious and just wonderful. The perfect young woman for him.
He turned on Cherry Street, and got a surprise. Sophia was there with his very dear friends Roxanne Tyler and Henry James Trisson. He smiled, it was great to see them. He approached the trio, "Well, its been ages." He stated. "Its wonderful to see you all again." Mitch smiled at Sophia, and kissed her hand. "You look beautiful as always, darling." He said, turning to Roxanne. "Roxie, you look beautiful as well." He said, kissing her hand as well. Mitch then turned to Henry James, "Its great to see you Mr. Trisson." He said.

Sophia beamed as the two men made their pressences known, she nodded her head at Henry James and then when Mitch came up, kissed both of his cheeks. She was from Europe after all it was a common greeting. "Darling, I didn't expect you here.." She smiled at Henry James as she took Mitchell's arm, her smile soft. "And you James, it's been dreadfully dull without the two of you around.." Oh incredibly, she loved reunions like these.
"This strikes me, we've not had a get together in so long.." They really should have another party, and terrify the staff. She always got a kick out of torturing the staff members.

"Noting much at all, father is pressing Mitchell and I to make our engagement announcement but we find it to amusing to allow them all to shake in their shoes. They actually do not believe we'll announce it.."
Roxie's eyebrows went up, that's right, Sophia and Mitch were engaged. Of course, she was thrilled for them, genuinely thrilled. In her opinion they were perfect together. She chuckled, "My father is trying to force engagement on me, I'm nowhere near ready to become a wife."
"It's been a terrible farce, but amusing none the less. And you Roxie? I've missed your visits lately.."
"Nothing out of the ordinary. Father's been having more dinner parties than usual, of course all the families just happen to have a son that's my age or a few years older." She rolled her eyes. "I've missed visiting you as well. Its so boring at my house."
"Well, well...what indeed are the odds? Miss Tyler. It's been simply ages." "Its wonderful to see you all again." "Roxie, you look beautiful as well."
Roxie looked up and smiled as saw Henry James approach them, and she smiled again as Mitch approached them too. "It has been too long." She said, as Henry James kissed her hand. Roxie nodded politely at Mitch, with one eyebrow raised.
"This strikes me, we've not had a get together in so long.."
"No we haven't!" She said with a gasp, "I've missed you all so very much, we must do something soon." Roxie lived for parties, and that would help spruce up her boring life.

"Mr. Richards," Henry James said with a cordial nod. Now that the formalities were over, they could begin talking about the thing they all loved best--lavish parties and social scandals. As talk to get togethers and missing one another and the like came in flurries around him, Henry James was devising a rather devious plan. Where would the Reverend Trisson be tonight? There was something to be remembered about this date, but because it did not concern him Henry James had only half-listened. What about the good wife Charlotte? She had been saying something about making tarts for--
"I have a marvelous idea," Henry James announced, takng Roxanne's arm in his and looking around at each face. "Three nights from now, my parents are going to be away in Queens to attend a church charity event at the orphanage there, doing the Lord's work...and whatever else they do at filthy little places like that. With them gone I'm sure they wouldn't protest (for that is difficult when one is oblivious) to a gathering of a few, choice, close friends." The way Henry James said those last few words, he made it clear that he planned to invite everyone in New York worth inviting.

Mitch looked from Henry James to Sophia, a party sounded wonderful. His trademark smirk appeared on his face, "That sounds marvelous." He said, parties were what he lived for. Well, exciting parties were what he lived for. The parties his grandfather hosted were so dreadfully boring. Half of the time his grandfather had no idea what was going on, or who Mitch was. It got annoying after a while. But he'd rather live with his grandfather than with his mother. She was a terrible woman, and he was glad to be done with her.
