Muse looked down at Rex and bit her bottom lip trying hard not to laugh as Mr. Carson walked away. Once he was far enough away she burst out laughing holding her stomach. Sitting on her knees, she watched the boy in front of her. Wiping under her eyes with her palms she took a deep breath to calm herself. "That was fun."

"That was fun."
Rex nodded, finally stopping his laughter and sitting up, wiping his eyes as well. His eyes were dancing with laughter as he grinned at Muse. He stood up and brushed the hay out of his hair, and then turned to Muse, brushing the last bits of hair out of her hair as well. He stopped and let a finger linger on her soft brown hair that was like silk.
"My work's done here, um, ya hungry at all, Muse? We could grab us some slop ta eat or something like that," He chuckled at his small joke and stood back, grinning shyly, waiting for her reply.

She bit her lip gently, a small blush painting her cheeks as he brushed the hay from her hair. Slowly she stood and brushed the hay off her shirt and trousers mentally counting the money she earned today.
"My work's done here, um, ya hungry at all, Muse? We could grab us some slop ta eat or something like that,"
Picking a piece of hay off of his shirt she nodded. "I'd like that." She said softly as a small giggle escaped her lips with a smile.

"I'd like that."
He grinned his widest grin, his blue eyes still twinkling. He looked down at his clothes and smirked. "Great!...but I should probably wash up quick, I don't want to stink up any resteraunt with me smelling like ponies ya know."

Muse laughed and pushed her hair over her shoulder so it hung loosely down her back. "Okay," She smiled as she pulled her newsboy cap out of her pocket and placed it firmly back on her head with ink stained hands, shielding the sun from her blue eyes. The smile never once leaving her face. "Once ya ready, you can pick were we eat. I don't really now any places in Queens."

. "Once ya ready, you can pick were we eat. I don't really now any places in Queens."
He nodded vigorously and grinned, getting more excited by the moment, he liked Muse, and he liked eating. Eating was probably one of his favorite things to do, besides take care of horses. He grinned and started heading towards his small living quarters above the livery at the racetrack, gesturing for Muse to follow. He reached it and started through the door, then poked his head back out.
"Be right back!" and bounced up the ladder to his room. He quickly changed and then bounced back out the door. With a wide grin and an excited shout, he grabbed Muse's hand and said, "Let's go!" and tugged her along.
(Hmm, lets do it at...Molivio's, you can start I guess, or you can post here Muse's response and I'll start at Molivio's eitehr or. ;D)

<New Day>
"Aww..Damon. Missed me?" Flanna smiled gently, slipping onto her horses bare back, draping her body over the horse, her head coming to rest against his mane. She had missed him so much. She had pushed herself in work, dropped ties with all she held dear, just to earn enough money to buy him back. No matter how many people left her in her life, she'd always have this horse, she'd always have riding.
She had been a fool for selling him, but all was right in the world again. Maybe everything else would right itself now. She really hoped so.

Caleb leaned against the front of the stable and watched her lament. That horse, he shook his head. It had even forced Caleb to get an honest job. One he still hadn't quit yet. He had some at least honest skills he could use to get by in the world.
He didn't say anything, really he wanted to watch Flanna ride. She needed that as much as he needed her to be okay. He didn't push, he went on and let her do what she needed to do. He'd been that way from the start.
"Go for a ride, Irish..." he nodded for the door, wishing she would so he could see her let go of all of her anxiety for awhile.

Flanna raised her head, her dark black hair pooling down her back as she looked up at Caleb, grinning brightly. "...I suppose I should, shouldn't I?" She had a lightness in her tone, and in her look that she hadn't had since she'd been forced to give up the beloved horse.
"...Come watch me?" She started to nudge Damon out of the stall, reaching down to touch Caleb's hair.

He raised a brow and then nodded, giving her hand a squeeze. "Ride like the wind Irish. I'll be watchin.." It was her smile and happiness that kind of made all that legit work worth it. As long as Flanna was happy.. it was strange to think about it now but as long as she was happy, Caleb really didn't care what he had to do to make sure she was.

"Aren't you always?" Flanna laughed and winked at him, easing Damon onto the track. Once she saw that it was clear she kicked her heels in, speaking in gaelic, and the horse took off like a shot. Flanna let out a happy sound, wrapping her arms around the horses neck as they rode around the track fast, becoming one with her beloved animal.
Things were better now that her Caleb was here. She had her horse back..and she couldn't have done it without him.

(lol))
Caleb leaned against the post and watched her ride, he hadn't seen her that happy in a long time. Since before Razor even. She had always been at one with the horses and he'd even went on the straight and narrow to help her get him back. She wasn't about to let her lose the horse again. Hell or the light she had in her eyes now.
The Scot had a few things to say about a lot of things, but watching Irish thunder down the track flush with a strong animal gave her strength. That was all he needed to see.
