"They are. I think. My mum and dad an brother, Connor, well, we all lived in Boston. Mum and dad bein' from Ireland and such. I just came down a few months ago, tryin' to go to school, but that didn't work out. There was a fire up in Boston a few weeks ago. I've been sendin' letters and waitin' for them."
Rex nodded, "So you're new to the city then, it has its quirks...hehe like Irving Hall I guess, which will be even better now you're performing!" Rex gave her his biggest grin yet, bouncing up and down slightly in excitement.

She rolled her eyes and moved in front of him, smacking him on the nose with her flower.
"All this confidence had better be back here tonight! I'm hoping my one and only fan will be here." She laughed. "My one and only fan that hasn't heard me sing yet!"

Rex looked a little surprised when she smacked him gently with the flowers and then grinned, letting out some laughter.
"All this confidence had better be back here tonight! I'm hoping my one and only fan will be here."My one and only fan that hasn't heard me sing yet!
Rex looked down at the stage, his eyes twinkling mischievously, as if debating. "Shoot yeah, I'll be there! Wouldn't miss it for all the money in the world."

She let out a happy sigh. She'd met nice people in the months she'd been in New York, but to have somebody she'd consider a good friend made her giddy inside. She looked down off the balcony to see yet another group of girls on the stage, but these one's were dancing.
"Fantastic. Oh, those girls just make me want to jig." She started to do a jig, but only danced for a moment before she grabbed his hands and tried to get him moving.

"Fantastic. Oh, those girls just make me want to jig."
Rex laughed as she grabbed his hands, wanting him to dance. He twirled her around but then was careful not to step on her feet. "I'm not that great of a dancer, hehe," He said sheepishly, his eyes twinkling with the fun time he was having despite his disability.
"But I can do this!" He did a front flip, landing on his feet, and then gave Zoo a big grin. He loved doing flips. It burned off all the energy he had inside of him, and it always gave him a rush inside.

She couldn't not smile as he twirled her around so carefully, like she was breakable. But then Rex did that front flip, and for a moment Zoo could not do anything. Not smile, not blink, not breathe. Almost immediately all of that changed and she broke out into hysterics, getting over to him and grabbing his hands to continue dancing.
"Rex, that was absolutely incredible! You said you weren't that much of a dancer, but that just shows you've got it in you."

"Rex, that was absolutely incredible! You said you weren't that much of a dancer, but that just shows you've got it in you."
He beamed, blushing sheepishly, one he was holding the hand of a beautiful girl, and she just complimented him. That didn't happen often.
"It's nothin' big, I had lots of time on my hand one day so I taught myself, took a while, and I'm telling you I had a bump on my head about the size of an egg. I guess I could learn real good, even better, if I tried, and it would certainly help with you leading me."

Zoo smirked at Rex. "Hmm, just because it looks like I can dance, doesn't mean that I know how to. But, I can tell you the first step."
She listened carefully to the music downstairs and started tapping her foot to the rhythm. She smiled at him and still held his hand, a little absentminded of it.
"Alright, you do the same thing. Tap your foot to the beats." As she spoke, her whole body started to move up and down to the rhythm.

"Alright, you do the same thing. Tap your foot to the beats."
Rex nodded tapping, a little too quickly, then too slowly, until he got on beat. He grinned a big proud grin at Zoo. He listened to the music and eventually got into it, and was right along Zoo. Dancing helped him get all energy out even better than flips.

She kept going, happy to see that he was able to keep up after he got started, turning herself under his arms and spinning wildly around the balcony. The thought occurred to her that they must be making a terrible ruckus, but she didn't particularly care.
"You like it?"

He grinned and nodded wordlessly, a wide grin on his face, until his feet couldn't move any longer and he slowly stopped, panting, and grinned at Zoo.
"Can't dance any longer, my feet are gonna fall off... That's fun, makes you forget everything, you know?"
For Rex, he really was lonely sometimes, he still thought about his family some, even though he'd be just as lonely there. He liked the stables, but horses couldn't be one's only company. And even though he acted like he was happy most of the time, he had some pain bottled up in that big old grin.

She laughed and flopped down on the floor, breathing heavily. It almost hurt to laugh. It had been a long time since any dancing like that.
"I do. You get so focused on whats happening to you now, how your body is moving, the other person that....there's not really any room for anything else."
She slapped his leg and grabbed it playfully. "I like you Rex." She said it as if a proposal had just become a law.

Rex grinned, still panting as well and sat down next to her, leaning against the wall or the balcony and shutting his eyes, catching his breath.
"I do. You get so focused on whats happening to you now, how your body is moving, the other person that....there's not really any room for anything else."
"I've never danced with anybody before, well, maybe with my nanna, but that was to slow music, she liked her opera, near bout bust my eardrums and made me so bored I woulda ran twenty laps around the house if I could escape." He smiled.
"I like you Rex."
Rex blushed slightly, a shy grin on his reckless face. "Hehe, that's a good thing. I like being liked, and I like you Zoo. How could I not like you, I'm your number one fan, member?" He flashed her a big grin.

Zoo's body slowed down and she started breathing lighter and deeper. She put her head onto the tops of her hands, one overlapping the other. "Well then, what's the singer and her number one fan going to do now?"

"Well then, what's the singer and her number one fan going to do now?"
Rex closed his eyes and scractched his head, "Think, Think, Think, Think, apparently we're now thinking because we are thinking of what to do and I'm rambling to fill up space and not gonna stop til I run out of breath..." Rex kept rambling until he stopped and took a deep breath.
"And now I used up all my breath...so now its your time to talk!" Rex said, grinning his happy go lucky grin.
